What's your favourite indie games from this generation?

I haven't owned a ps4 or switch yet sadly! but I've been following this generation from the start and there's a lot of indie games I'm excited to try! like inside, guacamelee 2, a hat in time, cuphead, transistor and others...

So I want to know, how many indie games have you loved from this generation?

Resogun is always fun to pick up and play. Needs more levels though.

Does Hollow Knight count as an indie game? How about Prominence Poker? My friends and I play the heck out of that one.

Probably Shovel Knight, even if only talking the first campaign. Add in the other three, two of which are arguably better than the original? Fucking great game and lots of it. The mechanics, the level design, the music, the writing, just love everything about this game.

Played a lot of Celeste, never finished it, but it was some top notch platforming.

Fight 'N Rage is a crazy underrated beat em up.

Still need to give Hollow Knight a proper go.

@alonein2020: Nah, Streets of Rage 4 is the main beat 'em up I play these days. I do plan on trying river city girls if I see it on a steam sale though.

Probably go with Mount And Blade, the series in general.

Started out with some larper dude and his wife passionate about this shit with the budget of a half empty Mcdonalds cup and 0 coverage other than word of mouth.

Ive played alot of great indie games this gen, my switch has a ton of them on it

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

I really like Transistors combining of powers.

I dont think the Ori games count but they might be my choice if they do.

I personally felt turned off with the 8-bit and 16-bit graphics found in most indie games, so I do not have a favorite. It is just like Hollywood deciding to release films in black-and-white.

These represent some of the most fun I've had with games and I am grateful I got to play them.

Damn skippy. I've put soooo much time into this game, and I haven't even started a 1.0 map yet. Love it.

Override: Mech City Brawl. Not perfect, but one of the best recent 3D arena brawlers that isn't a Cyberconnect 2 anime licence.

GRIP: Combat Racing. Feels like a futuristic combat racing game from the 90's, but with modern graphics and sensibilities.

Spiritfarer without a shadow of a doubt.
I can't remember when it was last time game gripped me so.
Also it makes me bawl my eyes out every once in a while.

I'm huge fan of the Donkey Kong Country series and Yooka and Laylee have the same amount of charm, if not more than any Rare made characters.
