Uhh like wtf is this point of this? I've heard rumors the gpu is stronger in the Xbox One X and the X is going to be more expensive than the X-series S so what's the point just get the X right?

The market is saturated right now and adding series s is confusing and there's no room for it. This is just bad. Just focus on the x put out a new console. We just don't have room for the x-series S, x-series x, xbox one x and xbox one s ITS just too damn much. PS5 nice and smooth and all digital a blu-ray one. Just simplicity.

S has a better GPU than the X. Also has a rumored far better CPU, faster ram, and an SSD. It will also continue being supported throughout the gen unlike the X.

Better system, more scaleable to the XSX, and a cheaper system since it’ll most likely be digital only.

Its not a maybe, the rumored S specs are better than the X. They'll also discontinue the Xbone models once the new gen arrives, it will only be 2 choices for each console manufacturer.

Most likely for cpu reasons. My refrigerator has a stronger CPU than all current system consoles.

Probably because 1) manufacturing costs will be lower in the long run because they can produce both consoles from the same plants and molds etc, and 2) cross-system compatibility will be easier to guarantee down the road given the same generation chipsets.

It will be very similar in power to the X1X, yes, but don't pretend you know better than MS about this. I'm sure they've thought it through

They are out of stock on Amazon and elsewhere

Series S will play the same games as Series X, just at a lower resolution for those with 1080p tvs. Xbox One X will be discontinued and wont play the same games as Series X.

Ps5 Digital will play the same games as ps5 standard (Oh god, won't the kids be confused by that?). Ps4 pro will be discontinued and wont play the same games as ps5D and ps5.

Anything else?

I think MS need to appeal to a share of casual gamers back and releasing the series-s is the best way due to pricing.

Why go buy a series s or x? because they want to. it's simple to understand. when a person goes into a store to buy some thing is because they want to.

TC obsessed with MS. Wait until the showcase and MS drops a bunch of megabombs, the meltdown will be delicious.

Afaik, the One S and, One X are being phased out; they won't be sold anymore.

The Series S is simply more tailored towards next gen experiences.

However, I do think it can cause some confusion. For instance, the One X might actually end up running early gen games at a higher resolution than the Series S but, with lesser graphical fidelity. Either way, I don't see people jumping from the One X ("4K" machine) to the Series S ("1080p" machine).

People will move from the One S (which is a mostly <1080p machine) to the Series S.

This is the kind of nonesensical answers i love in System Wars ...

Under this logic, the Madden/FIFA bros will just buy the latest Xbox to their "bro games".

Xbox Series S is a next-gen console and it's made to be more affordable.

Which would point to the Series X being pricey.

The CPU bottleneck is a real thing... even if the GPU power is 20% more than a X1X the XSS will give it have closer to 50-60% more FPS due to the CPU at lower resolutions because the CPU in the X1X is weaker than a i3 2120 from 2011 which has 2 cores a 4 threads at 3.3GHz.

Lol. Another SKU is confusing for you?

Oh lawd. Nobody tell this guy about all the stupid SKUs marketed by tv and audio manufacturers.

The console market is probably the least offensive when it comes to overlapping products.

Lol the fact that lemmings can't see the problem is why Microsoft can sell anything.
