Hello friends,

We all know console shooters are not very good compare to PC, due to console is not made for FPS, neither controller is for but here we discuss best console FPS we played shall we? it doesnot need to be exclusive either since none of Halo games are exclusive anymore. it can be games that build and release on console first, then ported to PC. so heres the best console FPS i played is. so i was thinking what might be best console FPS. then i came to conclusion...

and its..

Chronicles of Riddick Escape from butcher bay

This was originally Xbox exclusive which later ported to PC few month later as directors cut edition. so it was basially console FPS. and my goodness this was only console FPS that was not even best but also manage to be toe to toe with PC FPS or even surpassed many PC FPS in past. easily one of the greatest game ever made. creative level design, the prisnor atmosphere, the meelee and stealthy segment mix with shooting make it best yet.

some say Halo is best console FPS starting Doom guy who shoot pokemon, some say goldeneye is since it was first FPS on console based on james bond movie not starting Daniel Craig.

but this game is better than both combine. if this game was not ported to PC, this could have been xbox system seller.

so my friends, was this best console FPS? lets discuss

Honestly, full experience, and a "for the time" factor included? Probably Halo: Combat Evolved.

But this isn't something that manly hardcore FPS playing guys with big biceps say.

Perfect Dark, loved that game back in the day. Brilliant approach to difficulty settings (same as Goldeneye). Fun weapons with creative secondary fire. Trying to beat the target time was so hard, but very rewarding!

Well I guess I would say Halo: The Master Chief Collection since it contains pretty much all the Halo games which I love. I also really enjoyed several Call of Duty games from Modern Warfare to current.

I'm just going by games exclusively (or at least originally exclusive) for console.

Otherwise we could choose almost any shooter as as most are primarily built for consoles now.

ported to PC later and release simultaneous are 2 different things.

Riddick was xbox exclusive first then release on PC.

FPS today are release on PC and console at same times. with advantage on PC most of time.

They originated on consoles. Fam they built for gamepads in mind, killer games in spite of the gamepad, but make no mistake they are gamepad shooters. Built from the ground up on the sticks first, with the benefit of the keyboard n mouse after since that's just inherent to the genre.

Honestly, I've never played a console FPS that I've particularly enjoyed. I mean, it can be done, and DOOM on the Switch plays well enough, but this genre was literally made for the mouse and keyboard and plays so much better with those input devices.

Playing Doom Eternal on console lol.

one cant play FPS with console that doesnot have auto aim or aim down the site, neither can play fast paced dashing with controller.

I also think even Halo play better on PC than on xbox with controller.

FPS in general do, but those games are definitely analog stick friendly because that was the common denominator they were built for. Compare Doom to arena FPS shit, Doom hurtboxes are giant, don't need to be nearly as precise. And while the game is fast, it's not Doom 1 n 2 fast or Quake fast. You would know this if you actually played PC FPS like that.

of course I have been playing FPS on PC in long time. and i know how fast Quake and early Doom were.

the point is, still Doom Eternal dashing is not something that can be played on controller properly.

In PC you can also increase FOV to make game faster. and doesnot have to press weapon wheel instead you can choose weapon why 1 2 3 keys. thats my point.

They do? That is insane actually. They should just do one of those remakes and cash in. But perhaps the IP is not that well known among the younger audience? It’s no Halo that’s for sure.

because its not very interesting ip. because goldeneye and perfect dark were bad games and only got good reputation because they were first ever console FPS.

beside perfect dark 2 was 360 exclusive and it failed. it had third person cover system.

lol nice joke. You can't compare PDZ to the original, the quality is nowhere near the same. The setting of this game is Perfect. If they wanted to, they could reboot it into an rpg-fps like CP2077. This series has huge potential.

Just like Conker and almost everything made by Rare? Yea, right. Maybe they have no talent at RARE, and what was possible then is not possible now? Ever thought of that?

@ghosts4ever: Why are you making a thread about console FPS games when you don't have the skill to play one with a controller.

Its obvious that any scrub can play them on K/M because you do, the real skill is playing on a controller you casual4ever.

Honey Bucket is the best name ever for a portapotty company.

Oh wait, we're talking about console fps not portapottys?

Eh, same difference.
