Just a guessing game. My personal guess is something just as confusing as the x-box one. I think it will be called x-box OG, First x-box, x-box 3x60 or maybe x-box 6 just to be one number above the competition.
@Pedro: PS3's theme was red, Wii was blue, PS2 was blue, and GameCube was purple. They change every time.
I like the code name much better: Xbox Scarlet. MS needs to ditch the green theme and go for red theme this time around.
Red theme is Nintendo.
With regards to the name, its going to be some garbage name.
Sadly, it will be a lousy name. At least naming "Xbox One" is hardly better then what Nintendo naming Wii U. That says alot.
@Pedro: PS3's theme was red, Wii was blue, PS2 was blue, and GameCube was purple. They change every time.
PS3 theme wasn't red nor was the gamecube "theme" purple. The color theme for these companies only became a "thing" in the later years.
You mean like the last 20 years?
PS3 I can kind of give you...since it's more of an accent (still the color I associate with it)
But with GameCube you are flat wrong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZXvchpQIV0&t=32s
Xbox 365 or..... Xbox Won...or....
Mighty XBOX XXX MonsterBox MasterRace.. has a nice ring to it. . lol :P
@uninspiredcup: Best controller, best online, best racer, best exclusive shooter franchise - all within the Xbox One moniker?
Keep dreaming, cow.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!
Best controller and online are subjective. Forza is a boring racing game and a milked franchise just like the other Xbox garbage exclusives.
Forza/halo/gears all crap.
Xbox should be disbanded and send to the trash bin where it belongs.

Silly console fanboys are always amusing.

Good lord. Do you even know what I was talking about? The branding for the Playstation has been blue since the Playstation 2. Not red because they had red LED lights or red boxes for sales items. PS3 was initially just a black box, with no color theme for years and moved towards blue again in the later years. The Gamecube launch was purple, then move to black and their logo was purplish but they didn't have a thematic brand like they all do now . (Red LED is proof of branding, GTFO)
Probably a garbage name. MS have proven with the Xbox SAD that they still suck at coming up for names for their systems.
@uninspiredcup: I'd say your spelling is more associated with bad quility than Xbox.
You tried.
That's all that matters.
@uninspiredcup: Uh.....yeah, I was kinda mocking you. You talking about "quality", and then spelling it wrong and all....
@uninspiredcup: Uh.....yeah, I was kinda mocking you. You talking about "quality", and then spelling it wrong and all....
Of course. That's why only now you're using quotation marks properly.
@uninspiredcup: Yes. Because it's just pure coincidence that I misspelled the same word in the same way in a post where I suggest your spelling is more associated with bad quality than xbox.
Welcome to fantasy land people ....

It wasn't pure coincidence, it was bad sentence structure. Indicating you said it. Resulting in hypocrisy..
Which is great. It completely nullifies me from criticism and makes you look absolutely terrible.

Also Xbox does suck. This is a fact.
Personal attacks at users giving truth will not change that. But for what it's worth, I forgive you.
@uninspiredcup: Sentence structure was fine, it was your original post that had the misspelling, and your sense of humour that is lacking.

Just apologize and look like the bigger man. Making a mistake is fine. Getting emotional at someone saying things you don't like is perfectly understandable.
I'll most likely be proven right, unfortunately by that point this conversation will have been forgotten. So, assuming the forum isn't dead, neither of us are dead, i'll bookmark and quote it, so you can see just how correct I was. And hopefully, say sorry for having such a juvenile response.
@uninspiredcup: Now it's more than your spelling that is confusing....
What are you hoping to be proved right on, what are you demanding an apology for, what mistake did I make, and which emotions are you referring to?
You mean like the last 20 years?

Maybe you should clarify what you meant by "theme", since I'm not sure you do know what you're talking about.
I like the code name much better: Xbox Scarlet. MS needs to ditch the green theme and go for red theme this time around.
Red theme is Nintendo.
With regards to the name, its going to be some garbage name.
This is my introduction to your point, so if I'm missing something please let me know. But you made a claim that Nintendo's theme is red (which it currently is, and historically has used in the past; i.e. NES and SNES branding), to which I responded,
@Pedro: PS3's theme was red, Wii was blue, PS2 was blue, and GameCube was purple. They change every time.
Followed by your response of,
PS3 theme wasn't red nor was the gamecube "theme" purple. The color theme for these companies only became a "thing" in the later years.
Then I clearly tried to extend an olive branch with PS3 saying that the red was more of an accent...but you weren't having that, and then decided to dig in with this
Good lord. Do you even know what I was talking about? The branding for the Playstation has been blue since the Playstation 2. Not red because they had red LED lights or red boxes for sales items. PS3 was initially just a black box, with no color theme for years and moved towards blue again in the later years. So here we are now, with you claiming Playstation's branding has been blue since PS2. While that is mostly correct, with the exception of a few years around...oh I don't know...THE PS3 ERA!!, where they clearly used red in their branding and promotions. Now is claiming it was just a "black box" in reference to the system itself or the packaging. If it's just about the system coloring, that's pretty much a moot point seeing how almost every console ever is just a "black box". But if you're eluding to branding, why are you being willfully obtuse to my clear examples?
Now with your LED point, I was using that as a reference against the PS4 controller's lightbar (which can be multiple colors, but generally defaults to blue while in use). Are you saying that isn't a deliberate decision due to its branding?
I will even agree that with PS3 they started moving back towards blue towards the end of it's life (about 6 years into its life, right before PS4) but for the vast majority of it's life it leaned in a red direction.
With GameCube you started off good and then tried to weasel out of being wrong. I don't see how it's coloring theme is even open for discussion.
Seeing as the name "Xbox" has become the butt of endless jokes, MS should probably ditch it altogether and come up with something new.
@dimebag667: All of that to conclude that I was correct. Simply WOW. You should avoid jumping into conversations especially if the nature of the conversation was not clear for you. When we are talking about company branding we are not simply talking about random colors or led lights, or strips of color, or consoles' color but their central marketing color. As I have stated before this color theme branding became more realize for all three companies in the later years. You stating that it was always there is simply not true.
According to the aforementioned Jeuxvideo report, the Xbox Scarlett line couldlaunch with the highly anticipated Halo Infinite, which was first unveiled at E3 2018. The outlet also suggests that Ninja Theory, one of the many studios recently acquired by Xbox Game Studios, may have a new title ready for early 2020.
@Pedro: HAHAHAHAHAHA, your response literally made me think I was taking crazy pills for a second, but now I see you were just trolling the whole time. Bravo Sir, you got me! I didn't think there was any way someone could be so willfully ignorant when the facts were slapping them in the face, but now that I know it was all a ruse on your part it totally makes sense. Especially the part where you claimed that the plethora of examples provided to you weren't deliberately created as a form of branding or marketing to support the "theme" of the PS3, but instead were simply "random colors" that somehow fell out of the sky onto the packages. That was brilliant! I didn't think a person could make up something that ridiculous...but you clearly proved me wrong! Well played!
