I just got it a couple days ago for PS3.
My gameclerk got it in early so I was stoked.
However, I cannot in good conscience say this game is stellar because I'm fining out the hard way that it's only a slight upgrade from the first, which is bad because Mercs1 had a slew of small problems that disrupted the overall quality of the game.
Anyway, so far the graphics are nominal, but I have notcied some popping textures.
I'm going to "borrow" my friend's PC copy once he "gets" it.citizen-zeroWhen did it become so hard for people to simply ignore something if they think it's not worth the money? What makes you think you're entitled to their work even though you don't feel like paying what they're asking? If you don't need it to live, then do without it.
That said, it'll depend on which machine my friends get it for.

Well, If you borrow your friend's game, the company isn't making any money. If I download a game, beat it, then delete it the next day, the company isn't making any money either. I'm not seeing the moral dilemma here.

I'm getting it on the same platform as my friends for co-op play, not to borrow it. Just a fantastic job on the assumption, though - a real gold medal showing, there. Now, if I had gone and put ultra-subtle "quotation marks" on different parts of my "sentence", perhaps you could have ascribed "ulterior motives" to my "post". :roll:So now that you're done trying to accuse me of being just as bad as you (and failing, might I add), I ask again: if you don't think it's worth the money, and you don't need it to live, then what's so hard about simply saying "no" and not playing it? What entitles you to get to play it without covering your share of the cost of production?
I pay for bandwidth....citizen-zeroIn which case, if you'd like to game, there are plenty of alternatives out there that cost nothing more than the bandwidth to download them. You're more than welcome to play Battlefield Heroes or something along those lines. Or, you could simply purchase an older title from a used bookstore (many such games cost around $5).
If that's not what you want, too bad. You don't get whatever the hell you want just because you feel like it.
