What's your gaming New Year's resolution?

Mine is: save up money to buy a Wii U in 2015. I'm really hell-bent on getting one.

Mine is to complete my backlog of games in the summer months when there are fewer releases so I'll have time to play the backlog of games that will be formed by Jan-April releases so I can hopefully play most of the holiday 2015 games on time which will not happen inevitably forming a backlog for next year...ahh **** it.

1) Saving money, running through the backlog. Done this pretty well so far at the end of 2014

2) Going for more day one games since 2015 is awesome.

3) Play more DS and PSP games, along with SNES and Genesis games

4) Finish all the Souls game

Last year a few of my New Year's resolutions were to buy fewer games at full retail price, finish Chrono Trigger and finish A Link to the Past. Did all those so I feel pretty good about how 2014 went in terms of my resolutions!

This year, my resolutions are:

• to continue buying fewer games at full price
• to eat away at my backlog
• to finish Xenoblade Chronicles and Knights of the Old Republic
• to play a shit ton more FFXIV: A Realm Reborn
• to go through every Zelda title I have yet to beat
  • The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons (about halfway through), Oracle of Ages, Majora's Mask

Getting N3DS will be my new year resolution since I already own all 3 next-gen consoles and the only thing, I'm looking forward to is owning N3DS and think goodness that all my 3DS games are all digital so I'll be able to move my memory card to the new handheld. I would have giving PS Vita a shot if Sony weren't treating Vita like shit.

Play Final Fantasy VI

Start new year with Resident Evil HD ( First purchase on steam at 20 Jan ). To complete Dragon Age Inquisition and Shadow of Mordor by Jan :)

-Play/try more indie games.

-Still trying to decide whether I want a Wii U as a back-up to my Xbone.

4k resolution

Get all the fancy peripherals for m PC after my exams when I'll start playing The Witcher 3. The recent delay has been a blessing for me.

No more RPGs......no more talking about RPGs..... its just unhealthy for me...

Get a Gaming PC for myself. I noticed I game more on it these days and love the flexibility of it.

Play less video games. lol

Play a few games at a time and finish them. Rinse and repeat.

I have a bad habit of playing too many games at the same time that truly require you to sit down and play straight over the course of a week. I end up only beating a few and the rest get put aside for awhile. I start a new pack of games to only do the same. Now I have all these games that take 20-30 hours to beat and can't remember anything about what happened or where I am in the game.

That and work on my backlog for PC and 3DS.

Get my first platinum trophy and achieve 1k trophies.

Get a PS4 and enjoy Sony's bounty of gaming goodness.

I did the 52 games challenge in 2014. I'm doing the 52 games challenge in 2015 to clear my backlog. Finish up games I missed during the PS3/Wii/360 years.

A couple:

1) Work on my large backlog of games on current gen consoles:

Wii U: SM3DW, DKC:TF, Smash Bros, Wii Party U

Xbox One: Far Cry 4, Halo:MCC

PS4 - Destiny, NBA 2k15, Diablo 3: UEE

I'll throw in some NHL 15, Madden 15, Nintendoland, and Mario Kart 8 games with the roommates/friends.

2) Do not buy any new games until I finish the college semester (early-mid May)...basically due to how huge my backlog is. By this summer, some games that are coming out that I'm interested in will be on sale, and I'll have A LOT more time to complete them.

To simply enjoy another year of gaming.

Play and complete more of my backlog rather than spending all my free time planning to play games then ending up on youtube watching bloody cat videos or something just as pointless :P

Build a gaming PC, and my video games more often. 2014 I have been really slacking. I read books too much.

Will build a new High end PC from scratch. New motherboard, new Hard disks, new CPU, new GPU etc. Not gonna use anything from current PC.

52 games in a year. I told myself I would do it this year, and I got to 34 this year -_-

For knowing that the combat and boss fights in DmC are substantially worse?

No. I'm not talking about reasonable complaints made by sensible DMC fans here. I'm talking about the other half of the fanbase. The one that went crying on Youtube because of his fucking haircut/haircolor and left death threats to anyone who had anything positive to say about DmC. The shit half that makes it their mission to downplay it as much as possible while pretending what was always considered garbage in the older DMC games (like, everything besides combat) is suddenly amazing and deep and omg so life changing!!! The ones acting like children throwing hilariously over the top tantrums in hopes of getting their way!!1!!!

Yeah but that crowd isn't exclusive to DMC. You have Nintendo twits that can't accept the most mild of criticisms against Nintendo, even when facts are presented. Halo apologists for broken games. like everything and anything to do with gamergate. Just saying the idiot population goes longer than just the people that raged at Ninja Theory for having shitty aesthetic tastes on top of being no talent douchebags.

To cut my backlog from 8 games down to 3 before Bloodborne comes out in March.

I know that there are absolute shit fanboys everywhere. Yet somehow DMC zealots stood out of that award-winning class of clowns with some of the most cringe-inducing, downright vile behavior I've seen...ever really. Quite a feat.

I should have kept some of the PMs and comments I've got for liking DmC. I wish Jim Sterling publicly published his. I think he and his family got death threats and shit. Hilarious stuff really.

You would think that a fanbase used to deal with the downright hot garbage content (from art to dialogue and characters of the DMC world) would be more accepting of the shortcomings of DmC, but apparently not. That long white anime hair, man...srs bznss
