PS3 launching in Europe begs to differ.

It was extremely costly, had no good games in comparison to 360 and Wii (at the time), yet Europeans gobbled it all up.

At the very least, this will sell in NA. When the PS4 and next WIi comes out, they will price drop it. Perfect plan.

You didn't read my post correctly. The PS3 didn't come soon and for what it does/did it didn't cost WAY TOO MUCH.

If the new XBOX does something mindblowing this soon it will risk costing more than the PS3 did or it won't be mind blowing at all and only have mild upgrades.

Games for Windows does very little for entry. All it has to do is work with Windows and you can get Windows to sign that certificate for you and join the club.

Games for Windows is part of MS "entertainment and devices division" last time i checked.

They make money from them, thats all we have to know. Thats all that is relevent to know.

So what do you think they will do.

Let' take a $200 PC slap a $200 graphics card in there, call it an Xbox 2000, and then when Sony and Nintendo outsell us again we'll release the same thing without the hard drive...blah,blah,blah.

I just don't see them doing this again.

Big companies don't make the same mistake twice, what are they going to do thats different? How about telling me what they will do before telling me how my scenerio is out of the question

Actually Sony fixed there systems everytime it was a problem, cant say the same for Microsoft.
