@GarGx1: "64Gb Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM"

Whaaaat? I say, you must be doing lots of video editing?

Nah, I just got the core parts for free.

The PC the parts came from was in a house fire but not thermally damage, just soot contamination. Then because it was less than a year old and wet restoration voids most manufacturer warranties it was written off. I washed it and built the parts I wanted into a new system. Also got an Oculus Rift and a Samsung (odd polish import model) 47" 4k HDR TV and set of racing pedals (my Thrustmaster Warthog doesn't have an X axis) but I didn't have room for the tri-screen racing chair, so I pawned that with the two spare screens for some pocket money. Oh! and I was paid for all the time I spent on the restoration as well because I done it during work time. :)

Truly amazing find and the restoration story as well. You're good at your work and I do like how you customize your PC :)

Thank you kind sir. To be honest though, it's not something that happens that often as I'm more likely to be dealing with getting a half burnt out factory back into production, than getting my grubby hands on enthusiast level gaming tech.

I really should post some recent pics, my PC has a purple thing going on at the moment, which I think is quite cool. :) Unfortunately I'm away from home at the moment dealing with a half burnt out Electroplating company.

I got myself a sweet 34" Alienware monitor

3440x1440 resolution

21:9

120Hz

G-Sync

Honestly the best thing I've ever bought for my PC. Games just look amazing on it. Even older games suddenly feel fresh thanks to the high refresh rate and high resolution.

@Cloud_imperium: Nice shot man ! I love the popping colors.

That ultrawide high refresh rate life. It's a whole different world my dude. I'm glad for you.

I am trying to find as many games that support it as possible. RE7 is up next even tho I got the PS4 version. Wish consoles supported ultrawide.

For Resident Evil 7 you need to use a tweak, you need to check wsgf (widescreen gaming forum is your place to be for everything ultrawide)

With that tweak though it looks excellent.

Right now I'm trying out a lot of games to see if they work in 120hz, because it really makes a difference. Makes the game feel closer to life.

- Battlefield 1: got it running at 120 fps

- Battlefield 3: got it running at 120 fps, looks quite amazing at 3440x1440 with a minor color tweak

- Crysis 2: got it running at 120 fps, looks breathtaking at times at 3440x1440 and MaldoHD texture pack

Best purchase of my life ^^
