What is your hype level for Puyo Puyo Tetris ? Update: Gamespot 8/10, 81% metacritic

The series is finally coming to the States this Tuesday on both PS4 and Switch. Switch is $10 more, but I actually want the Switch version because of portability. I played the demo and it was pretty fun. Have you played this game, SW? I'm surprised Sega didn't bring this here sooner.

How will any of it work? I've no idea but I do like both series.

It's the type of game that works on the go so I'd probably buy it on switch if I had one, but right now I'm going to have to cut back on buys so I'll wait for a sale. Probably.

I preordered it after trying the demo. A portable system doesn't seem right without Tetris, though I would prefer Nintendo reissue Tetris DS. The variants since haven't been as interesting.

Any Tetris game without the original classic Tetris theme (remixed versions don't count) is not Tetris to me and therefore I'm not interested in this game at all. I still have a Gameboy Advance in order to play the real Tetris.

I already have a Japanese copy on the Vita, but I'd be willing to give this a shot on the Switch as well.

I've played the demo quite a lot, so I do like and look forward to it. The only thing I don't like is the price of 40€ which seems a bit steep for a puzzle game. But I'll probably get it. It's awesome in 4 player split-screen.

I honestly thought puyo puyo was just a strange name for a Tetris sequal.... it wasn't until just last week I found out that it's a whole other puzzle game and this game will try to mash the 2 together somehow.

And now my hype has died down... to non existant.

Interesting that GameSpot now review games on one platform instead of several as it used to do.

Even though the Switch version received a 8/10 from GameSpot does not mean that other versions deserve the same score.

Mine came in the mail today from Amazon. Nicely packaged: the game and case come in a separate larger box that includes two surprisingly nice keychains.

Looking forward to the game, which apparently has a single player story mode, of all things!

Just noticed the game releases the exact same day as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe where I live. Wtf! My wallet!
