The best loading screen is to have no loading screen. Demon's Remake wins.

I did. It was some muffled ass audio that sounded like it was heavily compressed. Returnal had a much better 3D audio compared to Demon's.

Returnal's audio is indeed god tier.

So damn beautiful, and it pains me this isn't on the Anniversary😭

Honestly the only loading screens I can recall are the ones that took painfully long and annoyed me

I can never find a video online that really gives credence to Returnal's apparently amazing 3D audio. I don't have the game so I can't test it myself.

How does it compare to this? Better, worse?

Metal Gear Solid 4 with Old Snake smoking and reminding us to take breaks every hour or so.

@darthbuzzard: I'm not sure I can say as I used my 3d audio headphones. But what I loved about Returnal's was the horror aspect to it. The sounds were really awesome.

Quite liked them in The Darkness. Shame there was only about 5 of them in total.

Ridge Racer let you play Galaxian while it loaded.

Boring answer, but probably go with GTA: Vice City or III

IV has good loading screens, but the game left bad memories.

Resident Evil. The door loading screens enhanced the survival horror atmosphere. And it was an effective way to make use of the PS1's slow loading.

Metroid Prime games have good loading screens.

Halo 3 - Simple with a thematic visual cue. I only wish the logo's weren't there

Tony Hawk’s Project 8 was pretty good with the skate clips during load times.

Shit, I forgot about this. Such a beautiful loading screen. Honestly wouldn't had mind a piano solo to go along with it.

The ones you can press to skip immediately but does rewards u with lore, etc if you bother to read.
