Did you see those gifs? Nothing, and i repeat, nothing on the X looks this good, and you don't even have an X. When Sony does something, they do it well. When MS does something, its straight-to-DVD aka gamepass. Low bar quality.😊

We both know Sony's games are all flash and no substance, we've know this for a long time already, graphics first, gameplay is an afterthought.

I think the newest Forza Horizon is a better looking game overall (and undoubtedly the better game). But sure, no Xbox game has windshield rain effects as impressive as Driveclub, you win that battle...

@i_p_daily: Wrong again, I'm no one's alt. I took a break from enjoying the magnificent Demon's Souls. How are you and the other 10 people who bought an Xbox enjoying Forza 45, last gen version? You seem to spend a lot of time here, maybe you got tired of playing the same game over and over again?

I'm primary a PC gamer needless to say the weather effects are impressive in the TLOU2.

Yep I remember that game shame that they never optimized it.

I was just about to say...I just started playing last of us and its pretty good with rain effects. Its similar to uncharted and obvious naughty dog has been recycling the engine for both series. Hell it seems like they almost 80% ripped off the characters too just changed the story and setting.

Also got to give some credit to forza horizons, they did a fabulous job on the weather effects. Its amazing to drive around in the snow.

Which along with Microsoft Flight Simulator are the only one actually doing real weather simulation around a whole planet (planets and moons in SC case) in a online environment where things like atmosphere, wind, humidity, gravity and such are taken into account based on science while impacting the players health and survival in a systemic way.

Playable games: RDR2 and Far Cry 5

Watchable games: Ghost of whoever and unfarted 4 I guess.

Fast cry 5 @4k on xbox one x was the best looking game last gen by far.

Ghost of Tsushima and Red Dead Redemption II are the two weather kings. Literally the Zeus & Thor of gaming.

The rest doesn't come close.

I think that Metal Gear Solid 2 on PS2 was very impressive for its time. It convinced me that the PS2 had indeed better graphics than the mighty Sega Dreamcast.

That play 1000 times better than todays AAA movie games.

Actually yea, although not a fan of Ass Creed, it's weather effects dating all the way back to the likes of Ass III's snow were pretty dopey dope.

Especially impressive on the boat stuff, with all the rain and waves and shit, really quite immersive.

Assassins Odyssey is easily one of the best looking games played this gen, genuinely beautiful. Shame about the gameplay.

I thought the storms in Twilight Princess were gorgeous whenever they showed up while traversing Hyrule field...

I like the sandstorms in Mad Max. Just epic the way it consumes/engulf everything on the horizon before it overtakes you...

How can you say this and be a lem? Even if you only like their racers, the ps has had more successful variety of exclusives over the Xbox. It's like complaining about PC visuals while being a sheep.

Driveclub had awesome weather effects, great pick.

I don't know. But I love the weather in BotW, as it changes the land and gameplay.

I have not played and seen many games that I feel have impressive weather effects but I like the blizzard in the Snow Kingdom and the heavy evening rain in the Metro Kingdom on Super Mario Odyssey. During the SNES era, I really liked the heavy rain depicted early in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
