I have the following games preordered:
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition - Special edition
And I also have Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima preordered as well!
What about you, SW?

None.
I never know if I'll get to the game even the week it launches so I just wait and hold onto my money until I'm ready to buy and play it.
Halo: Infinite, if you can call it preordered knowing I'll have it on day one via my already paid GamePass sub. :P
None. I don't preorder and I don't really buy day 1 anymore. I generally wait for the complete edition of games to release before purchasing. There are rare instances I break this rule, but I have burned by bad games too many times. Plus I don't like having to pay for a season pass to get a complete game. Complete editions typically launch for less than the original game and has all the extra content.

Same thing on the Works edition. I plopped down my preorder as soon as I heard about it. XC is one of my all time favorite JRPGs.
Just a bunch of SoR4 special editions at this point. Everything else I had pre-ordered came earlier in the year.
None right now but I will be getting The Wonderful 101 and Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition the day that they launch. Would have preordered those but just didn’t get around to it and I figure I shouldn’t have too much of a problem getting them on launch day, hopefully.
Unless you get a 20%+ off while pre ordering on pc, pre orders are as useless as it gets. Have never pre ordered anything on consoles through the whole generation
Yeah last time I preordered a game was BotW along with the Switch.
Before that, I think it was Ninja Gaiden Sigma for PS3.
Not something I do often.
XC DE
Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? - Infinite Combate - Switch
Metroid Prime 4 (from old ass Gamers Club Unlocked)
Cyberpunk 2077 - Xbox One X
Video games:
Vampire the masquerade Bloodlines 2
Cyberpunk 2077 through GoG
Rolled Out! (Super Monkey Ball)
R-Type Final 2
Subverse
Board games:
The Crew
Cleopatra
Investigator starter decks for Arkham Horror (Warning! expensive game)
Not my jam. If I want it, I'll just buy it day one.
One of the games I listed has already sold out before release. Some niche titles have very small print runs on physical copies, and in today's world of scalpers it makes it even harder to get them sometimes.

It's not literal. There are obviously constraints within supply chains.

With most games, I think you're right. But ultra niche titles that few are aware of? I'm not so sure. And then some get reprints if demand is high enough, like Radiant Historia on DS.
I remember a title on Wii U that went up to like $100 shortly after release, can't even remember the name of it but it scored very low.

Nice! I never played the original, so this is extra special for me lol

Lol "a bunch"
The only thing I’m preordering is the Xbox Series X. I have a feeling quantities and replenishments will be low next gen. I’m also going full digital next gen so unless there’s some really big bonus in preordering online, I’ll just buy it on or around launch.
Don't think I've ever pre-ordered a game, not that I can remember. No need to as whenever I go into a store for a new game there always seems to be copies readily available.
A Limited Run double pack of Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy for the Switch (I have both games digitally though... I have a Star Wars itch for damn near all my game systems). Planning on doing it again with the new Shantae coming out.
Not a whole lot to pre-order right now as far as I'm concerned. I will probably amp that back up later this year.
@SolidGame_basic: Well three to be specific. :)
The last one won't come until the Fall due to production concerns, but they did give me a free steam code as an apology gift.
On my list are pretty much only games that either needed the funds to continue (which I guess isn't really a preorder but whatever), or games that I want to support as much as I can. (When GOG said they needed support I insta-preordered Cyberpunk through their site.) And one because it's a physical print that can run out at any time.
But none of them are to secure a digital copy because, as many have pointed out, that is kinda silly. I don't preorder games just to have them day one unless they are something very special.
Lol people still preorder games? Why? Wait for it to come out. Check reviews. I always buy my games at least one week after release. Even if it’s a great game it’s better to let them release a few patches before playing.
It depends on how interested I am in the game, and if I feel like what I've seen and know so far warrants a day 1 purchase. It's not like I'm purchasing a car or a house lol.
