I have never played Super Metroid. Got the Super NT and a hard copy and i'm playing now.
Loving it.
What game have you missed, and want to go back and play? It can be any system new or old.
Also why haven't you played it?
Metal Gear Solid series. I remember playing a bit of MGS2 a long time ago. I also bought MGS4, but never started it. Backlog is my issue I guess. I will get to them one day...just not today.
Backlog is a problem. I'm correcting a problem I had with gaming. I'm buying games because I know they're good and I wanna play them but I for sure do not the time. So i'm just picking games and playing until I finish. Not saying you do that, but i'm sure many of us are guilty of it.
You should start from 2 and do it up.
Zelda. Owned a Nintendo DS In like 2006ish but I never really played much of those games besides Mario 64.
Also MGS collection. Played phantom pain only so far.
Final fantasy. Tried a little of the new one, never played the classics.
Out of all of those, which would you want to try first?

You can def get a 3DS with A Link Between Worlds, Ocarina 3D, and Majora 3D for cheap by now
There's a few-
Eternal Darkness- I remember seeing this on the rental shelf when I was a kid. Saw it got great reviews, it's been on most top 25 Gamecube game lists. My wife bought it for me for my birthday last year and I just haven't gotten around to it. I will for sure sometime this year though.
Portal 2- Loved Portal 1, just haven't felt the need to pickup the game yet, but it's near the top of my wanted list, so likely this year I'll get it.
Fallout 4- I was waiting for a complete edition with all the dlc on the disc. It's out now, but I think I want to play Fallout New Vegas before 4. And they're all such huge time sinks. New Vegas is #1 on my wanted list, but I want to clear some backlog (including Eternal Darkness, Dead Rising 2, Final Fantasy 6, and Super Mario RPG) first.
A number of RPG games have always kept me away only because I know I can't commit the requisite time to seeing them through. From this generation, Witcher 3, FFXIV, and Persona 5 immediately come to mind, but also Ni No Kuni from last generation.
I have similar feelings toward DOTA2 and LoL, but I've played at least 4-5 matches in each game, so I suppose I strike them from consideration.
A Wing Commander game.
And Chrono Cross.
Oh and the Tribes games before Tribes: Ascend. Never really had my own copy and I loved them. I hope Hi-Rez opens up a new studio to simply make Tribes things forever.
Gears 4 and ReCore but soon, in a week or two when I get Gamepass I'll get to give'em a whirl.
Witcher 3 as well but just too many great games in my backlog already.
One of the first ten Final Fantasy games. I mean, I've played them here and there but never for longer than an hour due to time constraints or lack of interest. I think if I grit my teeth and push through it, though, I would end up enjoying it, kind of like reading a long, dense classic novel.
- Xenogears
- Breath of Fire Series
- Blue Dragon
- Fable
- Gravity Rush 1 & 2
- Yakuza Series
- Devil May Cry Series
- Rise of the Tomb Raider
- God of War Ascension(Not a 100% completionist but I at least want to know that I've played every game in the series)
- Fallout Series
- Salt & Sanctuary
- Undertale
- Xenogears
- Breath of Fire Series

I haven't played any Breath of Fire games. I have Breath of Fire II for SNES. I'll eventually get to it.
@n64dd: When I was a kid a friend gave me like 2 or 3 of the games on PS1 but they were pirated copies and I had no idea how to make them work on my unmodded system. It pissed me off to no ends, though, that I literally had them but couldn't play them lol

You should make a goal to play those first then lol

From what I've seen a large, vast majority of gamers (at least on this site/forum) are technically more game hoarders than players. They buy more games than they have time to actually play. So maybe they're more like collectors?
Eh, potato potatoe.
OT: I need to play Prey and Dishonored 2 -- as soon as I'm done w/ Horizon.

I'm a collector by nature. I have a ridiculous retro collection, every core mario game factory sealed from NES to current. So I tend to blend the two together.
Which Prey?
Half Life 2. I didn't play HL1 until around the time HL2 came out. Loved it, but then got busy with college, then started leaning more toward console gaming and never got around to playing the second one. Almost bought it for PS3 but decided it was the type of game I should play on PC. I keep wanting to upgrade and get back into PC gaming but just haven't done it yet. Maybe I'll get to this around the time HL3 comes out. HAHAHAHAHAHAHASNORT!!!

Its an issue I have slowly been working on. I would say a good chunk of my backlog is from buying games on sale over the years. I have changed my stance to "If I won't play it today, don't buy it today" approach. While that has worked for 2017, the backlog damage has already been done lol. There is also a problem in that I put an insane amount of time into competitive MP games, which definitely takes valuable time away from my backlog.
SoC... and i finally got to play it with the remake. It is an outstanding game.
Glad you enjoyed it! As someone who played the original countless times, I can honestly say they did a fantastic job restoring the game's visuals while also keeping the spirit of the game intact.
As for games that I've yet to play but want to, Xenogears and Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask are just a couple the come to mind.
Civ - I did try Civ V for like 5 hours but I don't think I gave it a proper crack
Halo past Halo 2 (never owned an Xbox so was limited to PC releases)
the original God of War trilogy
Stellaris
Once in a blue moon--and by that, I mean a handful of games per decade--I like what the Playstation has to offer. Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Last Guardian, The Last of Us.
I've always admired Nintendo for taking chances, being innovative, and keeping games young at heart with many of their exclusive titles.
But I just don't think enough of any console game to buy a console :D
Honestly, truly...the only games I really want to play and have not are a lot of the VR games. I am just waiting for the second gen/iteration to come out. Me want wireless!!!

a pull key chain easily solves the cable problem, not to mention wireless can't match the quality of cable.
there are many different games I haven't played due to not owning the system or not caring at the moment\price but I plan to play them once I find them for a good price or own the system and or care to play at that time.
like:
and a lot more.
If you'd have asked like 2 years ago, I'd say Shadow of the Colossus and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Not anymore, lost the interest. Only thing I can think of now is that it's a pity I never knew about Blood in the DOOM games era.
Btw, wish I could play Super Metroid for the first time. One of the best videogames ever made.
