Soon it will be Disgaea 1 Complete, until then Disgaea 5. Honorable mentions: Civ 6 and BotW
Forza Horizon/Motorsport as I get more than a 100hrs out of each game.
JC3 I think i'm up to about 300hrs in that.
Single player: Tie between BotW and Witcher 3
Multiplayer: Destiny 1 & 2....though I’m trying to correct that with Tekken 7
The Witcher 3, probably. DLC even better than main game at times. And playing cards which I'll never use.
This gen? Fallout 4, maybe. And, that's about it.
As for best bang for the buck in any gen? STALKER: Call of Pripyat. Its enormous mod scene can literally change it to a whole new game with new mechanics. For example, there are mods that make the normal safe areas prone to capture by enemy factions, rendering the player's character homeless in the game with all possessions gone. The same mods allows the player to recruit up to 6 NPCs and recapture the home base.
CoP also has a standalone mod, Call of Chernobyl, which brings together all the maps of the 3 STALKER games into one game. Obviously, CoC was designed for free-explore although a rudimentary SP story campaign was also included.
No Man's Sky, i believe. I have played it for over 500 hours so far.
What is so good about it? I hear nothing but bad things.
It's a space exploration/survival game with building mechanics and tons of inventory management. It also got 4 huge updates so far, and it's always improving. On the top of that, i have been waiting for a seamless space game like NMS for decades (since i played Frontier Elite 2).
I understand that for those who only play fast paced games like CoD and Fortnite, NMS may be a boring joke. For me it's very close from being my dream game.
@robert_sparkes: Mafia 3 is really good!
OT: Fallout 4 for me. Remember the time you went to Jamaica Plains? Or how about the time returned the deathclaw egg?
