Probably Three's on my iPhone. I bought it for about £3 and I've played it pretty much every day for 3 years.

I'm also noticing a lot of 3' in that sentence.

BotW, MH World, Mario Odyssey, Binding of Isaac, Hollow Knight, Overwatch.. and quite a few more games.

Doom and soon to be Metro Exodus.

Dont play mutliplayer.

Witcher 3, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Doom 2016, and Splatoon 2 so far are the only games this gen gave me more value then I expect it to be.

You should try SFV my friend. Even with a keyboard and no experience you'd probably climb up the ranks.

I liked street fighter 2 turbo alot. but now i have no interest in fighting games anymore. I tried SFV and tekken 7. and didnot enjoyed them. if it was 20 years ago then i may enjoy them.

Street Fighter II is a masterpiece. All games following imitate, barring SFIII, which most people don't like. But some people do. But most don't. It was sort of a flop.

End-boss was man in pants. Cheating bastard.

MP - Street Fighter V (local casuals and tournaments only)

SP - does Tropical Freeze count across WiiU and Switch. The whole gen thing has gotten weird with Nintendo.

Hollow Knight, Horizon Zero Dawn.

I never liked combos and crap in street fighter. just simple fighting with hadouken and original roster. i used to play alot when i was young.

Ryu was best.

Hyrule Warriors Legends, and Disgaea games. They have tons of hours of stuff to do.

Have the 3DS port, but it runs like ass. Legit 15fps.

Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain - 750+ hrs.

Diablo 3: Reapers of Souls - 400+ hrs.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 350+ hrs.

Monster Hunter World - 350+ hrs.

No Man's Sky, i believe. I have played it for over 500 hours so far.

Probably Titanfall on Xbox One. It’s easily my most played game this gen.

Company of Heroes 2 - around 900 hours since it came out in 2013... I'd guess at least half of that time was this gen. I'm very PC oriented so a little foggy about when the current gen started.

PUBG : ~400 hours

Trackmania 2 Stadium - closing in on 300 hours (I bought it this gen, but it didn't release this gen)

Witcher 3 : ~150 hours

Killing Floor 2 - 120 hours

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam: ~100 hours and counting

and Battlefield 1: around 100 hours

Vermintide 2: ~80 hours

MP - pubg or DoS 2 since both of my playthroughs were with my wife.

SP - Persona 5 or TW3

I played Hard West for about 20 hours and that cost me 99 cents.

Then again, I played 7 Days to Die for 950 hours and I paid I think $20

MP - Rust : once you find a less toxic server ,play with a friend or two the game is awesome, hours flew buy I got so into this.

SP - Dark Souls 3 - Not as good as 2, you never get your first souls experience back. However I still love this game and playing it when the severs were busy was great, lots of invasions and help with boss fights if you wanted it.

In terms of time played? Skyrim VR and Fallout 4, easily. I've spent a disgusting number of hours on those games.

You should try Street Fighter 3: Third Strike many fighting game fans regard it as the best, mechanically, in the series and I might agree.

It is one hell of a game. Then there is Garou: Mark of the Wolves (2001), which is a Fatal Fury game by SNK which could even be as good as SF3ts, still in the 2d genre.

The reason for this is because fighting games work better in 2 hand drawn sprites. You don't have to animate every frame, so the game uses skipped frames to accentuate movement and for effect which looks wrong when done in 3d.

This means fighting games like Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter and Dead or Alive move at a much slower pace and this is even true for SFV which is still on a 2d plane.

The most recent fully 2d fighting game was King of Fighters 13, which was the first in the series to update the sprites to high resolution, in 2013. Then 14 is in 3d but the game has kept it's speed relatively well.

I would try that or Kof96 or even the Guilty Gear games but 3d fighters kind of sapped alot of the pace out of the fighting genre.

Anything on the Dreamcast is worth playing...

Dragon Age Inquisition I absolutely love that game. Amazing fantasy world and really deep well developed characters which I played so many times with different classes alternating DLC's which were also excellent.

It was always going to be an RPG for me and I liked Witcher 3 but the game world was really dull compared to DAI just my opinion which I'm sure Texas will disagree with (he hates DAI and loves Life Is Strange incredibly boring non games about totally coolzorz schoolkidz so feel free to laugh at his 'opinion') but yeah that is game of the gen for me. I am probably the only person who will vote for it despite everyone raving about it when it came out. It has since become fashionable to hate it. Yeah, whatever, dudes.

I’ve gotten a lot of value out of a good deal of games this gen however some games of the top of my head with which I spent a lot of time with would be:

ARMS. Don't know how much time I've put in off the top of my head, but I've been playing nearly every day since I got it.

@jackamomo: Dreamcast was a truly fantastic system for fighting games. And while your point about speed is valid, I generally prefer 3D to 2D fighters.

Witcher 3 easily. 2 playthroughs including both expansions, I’m easily over 300 hours played.

Next is probably divinity OS2. The multiplayer is just too fun.

Wow. I just realized how spread out my time was.

Had the longest time to do a one run dragon age inquisition about 110 hours, next was two runs of hzd that was about 80 hours.

Other else were even unless we're counting MMOs where I don't even spend any at all.

Yeah. The Switch version is fantastic!

I'm really enjoying my time with Valkyria Chronicles 4 so far. :) Such a fantastic game, and some nice additions to the series' gameplay and storytelling. I like how they focus on more of the squad than just the main characters this time around.

Nioh took me 85 or so hours to beat.

Multiplayer - Gears4 . Probably over 300hrs.

Dont think I've spent more then 25- 30ish on anything else, but I will def eclipse that mark w/ Mass Effect Andromeda.

Persona 5. You don't just complete that game in five minutes.

Moreover, I completed Dragon Age Inquisition and Mass Effect Andromeda twice. Yeah, those games are not perfect, but I did enjoy them a lot.
