I really havn't thought about it much and have become content with the games I got. I guess I would like to see what the new Elder Scrolls will be.
@rogerjak: I'm pretty sure they shut down last year, but you're right...it was awesome! All I really wanted from a sequel was to have them tighten up the controls (moving, shooting, jumping, etc) a bit, but Starhawk changed too much.
They make it seem like Herman Hulst is going to focus more on multiplayer games this gen, so we'll just have to wait and see.
That said, those are the main franchise I want to see resurrected into next-gen.
Fucking A for Golden Sun and Viewtiful Joe.
No idea why you'd want a mediocre fighter like Bloody Roar when we got dozens of high quality fighting games.
@jaydan:
It wasn’t without faults and had plenty of “how the **** did I get that wrong”moments HAH and not much to do in the game world apart from hidden cars and some side cases which either ended in chasing some perp in a car or on foot for intuition points but the makings of a great sequel are there
Rockstar needs the audacity to break away from their linear and repetitive storytelling mold be make a detective game truly work.
It was disappointing to have zero consequences in LA Noire. You can royally screw up a case yet the game will brush it under the rug for the sake of its linear story. Narrative was incredibly disjointed because of that.
For some kind of reboot, I'd like to see true narrative consequence for prosecuting the wrong people, for example. They can do Ace Attorney mechanics, like what if we had a detective game that can throw you into a massive courtroom battle and you battle up to the verdict? That would be awesome, and not just end there but any verdict directly influences the entire game.
@Juub1990: I love fighting games and I played just about any fighting games to an extent. I really had fun playing Bloody Roar back in the day and the transformation of the characters during fights was the coolest thing back in my younger days. Bloody Roar deserves to be back in the spotlight.
@davillain-: Bare minimum there are surely enough fans to warrant a new entry from the series.
There are so many games that they could at least put out 1 new version per generation. I don't want jet Moto to put out three new games this next gen, but one would be nice.
@rogerjak: I totally agree about Starhawk. The build your base on the fly idea sounded cool, but in practice it just made everything look like a shantytown.
TimeSplitters
Is timesplitters really good? i saw some footage, never played it due to being only on console but it looks like cartoony game where you shoot monkeys.
OT:
Real Half life (not VR crap)
Max Payne
It was actually pretty great. I only really played Future Perfect (third in the series), but I remember it having an insane amount of MP customization for a console shooter, and it even had a level editor. I also liked how every SP mission took place in a different time period so it never got boring.
@jaydan:
Yea a few cases were linear to tie in with the storyline but is was still a pisser investigating a crime for a few hours only for you to be pulled of the case at the last minute because of corruption,
If you fucked a case up you should have been demoted to street crime for some side quests then back to the dept you were at or demoted to a lower department
Still loved the game tho HAH

Yeah, I only played TS2. Your description of Future Perfect fits TS2 perfectly as well.
It's too wacky for Ghosts, though. He's a bit sensitive about his manliness and can only play games with blood and other muscular men.
Chrono Cross.
I think I've posted the same thing in similar threads at least 5 times this year so far.
Nov 18, 2019 was the 20th anniversary of the original PS1 release and I was absolutely appalled that we saw nothing about it. All I was is a remake with AI upscaled versions of those beautiful backgrounds. Maybe upscale the character models and menus.
Hell I would do it myself if I could figure out a way to rip all the images and repack them into the game.
Fucking. Do it.
Or give me the damn source code, Square-Enix.
Socom
Motorstorm
Resistance
Warhawk
Freedom Fighters
Mercenaries
The Thing (remastered)
UN Squadron
Twisted Metal/Vigilante 8
Splinter Cell
Rainbow Six not open world
NARC
Smash TV
DeathSpank
DesertStorm(apache helicopter type game)
Manhunt
Many games come to mind, but most of their "last" entries were mostly just cash grabs/or downright flops, so i have little to no faith... Just a few that already had sequel(s):
Legacy of Kain
Parasite Eve
Bloody Roar
Dino Crisis
inFAMOUS
The Darkness
BloodRayne
Prince of Persia
Def Jam (not a fan of rappers or hip hop, but Fight for NY was great)
Viewtiful Joe
Ninja Gaiden
Ridge Racer
Motorstorm
Many Konami IP's also came to mind, but i left them out because... Konami, duh + no to mention "killed off for zero-to-no reason" series too, such as PGR, TimeSplitters, Maximo (Ghost 'n Goblins)...
That said, those are the main franchise I want to see resurrected into next-gen.

Uh, that's pretty harsh statement. I mean, it's no Street Fighter or Tekken, but that mostly depends when and what entry did you play first...
I played a demo version of BR1 back in 1997, but my first "full experience" was when i got the NTSC-J version of BR2 on PS1 in '99 (i don't speak japanese, but i don't mind - the eng VA was so pathetic, that even the devs didn't bother to sync it properly in the entire series, lmao) and that was probably its peak .
It went quickly downhill from there - from stagnating (BR3 & Primal Fury/Extreme) to dumbed down and basically broken (BR4)...
