What does Xbone do better than PS4 objectively?

I'm seriously having trouble thinking of anything. The only objective advantages I can think of all go to PS4.

PS4 has more games, fact.

PS4 is a more powerful console, fact.

PS4 has better performing multiplats, fact.

PS4 has twice as many sales, fact.

Reviews are subjective, what controller is more comfortable is subjective, what UI looks better is subjective, what system looks better is subjective, but the kinds of things I listed are objective and the PS4 wins them all handily. I'd like to know, what does the Xbone objectively do better than the PS4?

I didn't add it in the title, but I'm having trouble thinking of anything the Wii U does better than the PS4 objectively as well.

Obviously that's an opinion so it can be filed under subjective. That said, the Xbone's biggest release yet happens to be the biggest flop of the year in the Master Flop Collection outscored even by Killzone Shadow Fall and Little Big Planet 3.

This will serve as a nice basis for the rest of the thread. One must ask themselves, should the masses really line up for a system who's claim to fame is controller battery life? This thread should serve as an educational tool as to why the Xbone is trailing as badly as it is in sales.

• Better 1st year exclusives (debatable, but that's the general critical consensus.)
• Better voice chat quality.
• Better camera.
• Better multitasking
• Better browser and other ancillary apps.

UI aesthetics is subjective. UI usability is not.

Also, the XOne UI is capable of more than the PS4 UI. Fact.

XOne gets monthly OS updates constantly improving it whereas the PS4 does not. Fact. (and before you say the PS4 OS doesn't need it, It really does)

The subjective things the Xbone does better than the PS4, like having a higher quality library of current gen games, are more important than all of the objective things the PS4 does better.

PS4 has more games yes, but Xbone does have more AAA games that don't' appear on sony consoles. Which ones you like is obviously subjective

Better MPs is again subjective, case in point CoD has a better res technically on PS4 yet smoother framerate on XB1. Some are the same like destiny, some perform better on PS4. Its not really a clear cut better by any means, but yes a majority of MPs so far have been better on PS4, but recently they've usually been the same or better on XB1. I don't really think that is a fact.

Sales really doesn't mean anything either. Is Justin bieber the bets musician of all time? is avatar the best movie of all time? nope on both fronts

XBL has been much more stable the PSN

XBL has dedicated servers for their 1st party games, PSN doesn't

Xbone does multitasking/snap, PS4 doesn't

Xbone has TV passthrough, PS4 doesn't

Xbone has better wifi. Important if you can't wire in your console

Xbone stores game clips to the cloud, meaning it doesn't take up HDD space and are more easily accessible. can be downloaded from the web, saved to one drive via the console etc etc. PS4 stores them all locally and only way to get them is using a flash drive

Xbone does full backup of everything on your profile and it travels with you to any Xbone. PS4 has a 1GB limit to backing up saves only.

Xbone acts as a universal remote for your whole entertainment system. PS4 doesn't

Xbone has suspend/resume, PS4 doesn't.

Xbone is quieter and cooler. even while running 12+ hours a day like mine

Thats off the top of my head. Both have their positives and negatives.

The casuals on social media, aka 95% of the people buying these consoles and contributing to monthly NPDs, are hearing about how powerful the PS4 is, how many games it has, how well it's selling and all that jazz. I've never once heard of any of these things being said ITT. I'm not saying you people are wrong, I'm just saying, will casuals ever know about these things? Will casuals care about these things? Will casuals run out and buy the system because of them? They all seem pretty negligible to be honest and even then, a lot of the things being said are in fact subjective.

Just pure convenience for me. I never need a remote, go from TV to my games without switching an input, can snap anything to my screen with a word. Its an enjoyable console to own. Knowing the TC's post history, there is no objective motivation behind this thread. He prefers PS.

Xbone has more games the interest me right now, that's literally all the matters to me. I have a PC if I want a pretty multiplat which is rare considering how shit most of them have been lately.

The xbone has better exclusives. A very small margin at that, but it's there.

That's all that matter to me, since the best harware, the best multiplats, the most games and the most features are on PC.

If a gaming PC is miles ahead in multiplats, hardware, exclusives and features, then the ps4's issues are only apparent.

And i already said the xbone is better in exclusives, if we go by GS/Metacritic scores.

The point is, if the ps4 isn't able to verify it's quality by being put on pace with pc, than it's simply not that good.

A PS4 could also have backwards compatibility, free multiplayer, K/M support for all games, graphical settings options, amazing sales and deals, etc, just like pc has. Maybe even better than them

Why ask about things that are objectively better when most people wouldn't take only objective things into consideration when purchasing anything.

The TV stuff is actually really cool, it's basically a better media center than the PS4.

I haven't used either controller enough to say may opinion on them.

That is because they wouldn't be wrong. People should purchase the console that has what they perceive as the best games. I would argue that they should purchase the console with the best games that they can't play already without purchasing a new console, but some people really want to play last gen games in HD, and if that's what they want, then more power to them.

I separate console wars from PC because PC is just so far ahead that it isn't fair. I think it's completely reasonable to compare the consoles.
