I usef to put them on a shelf as I was quite a collector. These days I just sell them on ebay to fund new games.

Put it on a shelf as long as the system is connected. Once I remove the system, the system and its games go into a box that goes into my cellar
Average to poor games, I sell. Great to godtier games, I keep forever :)
I used to keep all my games, from trash to treasure, as "memories". Dumb. Now I just have a spreadsheet of what I have played. Also kinda dumb, but it makes me happy and doesn't me any money!
I never sell games and this gen I went almost full digital so it's a no-brainer, if it's good I play'em again at a later date especially all the X1X enhanced games.
I give the game to these boys, knowing they'll definitely make fantastic business with it. Bonnet de douche!
Shelf it. If I really enjoyed it, I'll get the urge to play it again someday, and I'd regret getting rid of it.
If I enjoyed the game then I put it on my shelf to add to my collection and someday I might replay it again in the future. If I did not enjoy the game then I probably won't even bother to finish it in the first place and I will sell it.
I want to say “bury it in the garden” in the hope that it’ll grow into a sequel however I just put it on the shelf and add it to my collection. Sometimes I’ll go back and play it again but that seems to be a very rare thing for me these days with all the great games that keep coming out that I want to play along with my ever growing backlog.
Games like uncharted, gears of war and halo I always replay the SP at some point. But loads of others during the PS3 360 era just go untouched.
Digital/Physical single player games, I keep them for all times. Once I have completed single player only game, I sometimes start over again just for fun moments, like Witcher 3, I have beaten it like 3 times already and going on my 4th play now. TLOU, I have played it like 6 times already and will go for a 7th time this fall if I'm not playing any AAA games. So yeah, I keep my games rather it's MP or Single, I tend to play them again at some point.
God of War however, I'll do another play once Santa Monica adds new game + later on, like what Guerrilla Games added new game + for Horizon: Zero Dawn.
Voted: Play it again
I voted Play Again, though it really depends on the game. RPG's like Mass Effect, Dragon Age, KOTOR, Witcher, and Divinity Original Sin (co-op aside, I played it for the solo experience) offers a great deal of replay. To any of them I say if you only played them once, you haven't really played it.
Halo is a game that I did replay through the campaign multiple times, more so in 1 and 3, lots of classic missions with a lasting appeal that still are fun to revisit. I even was able to enjoy some extra play through's of classic Tomb Raider games as well as the new ones, along with the Batman Arkham games.
@davillain-: For me it's rare to replay the exact same game that I just finished playing.
But when it does happen it's with those special games you just can't put down. Or with games that reward you for replaying a different way. I think Dishonored is a good example of that: The game plays and treats you totally different if you are going for a clean hands playthrough or a high chaos playthrough.

That's fair. It really depends on the single player game, I couldn't bring myself to go replay Heavy Rain for that reason ad never went back since. I did however enjoy Mafia 3 single player and totally couldn't wait to replay that game again, I just enjoy the 60's/70's era when color was still a thing in U.S, I just happen to like that setting and the protagonist was interesting.
Red dead is another I've replayed 3 times. I enjoyed the western setting and graphically still holds up well enough.

This. I rarely replay games (Even the ones I love) Last game I replayed was Final Fantasy 10 and that was over a year ago. So many games and limited amount of time to go back as when you could as a kid on holidays etc.

MMMMmmmmmmafia III is so good !! <3 That setting
But that's what I'm talking about though: I really enjoyed playing Mafia from beginning to end, and I was also thinking of replaying it.
But I just put it into my 'to replay' list so I'll get back to it down the line, I have no urge to replay it right now :P
Other games I can't stop replaying and it's for that one in a thousand special game experience that I keep gaming.
DKC used to be the best game I'd ever played, I still replay it... But then half life came around, I still replay that but then Dishonored came out and that one is even better. I probably have around 200 hours playing the Dishonored games lmao.
I'm all digital so I just keep it. Depending on the game I will revisit later for DLC or achievements I did not get the first time around, its rare I do that these days though, just too much on my plate.
Rise of The Tomb Raider I recently finished and I'm still playing it, lots of stuff to do after you finish, one of the best Single player games I've ever played. Was a little surprised how good it turned out.
I buy everything digitally now. So it just gets deleted into the ether.... Occasionally I'll go back to it. Doing that with Bloodborne right now.
this. apart from the Bloodborne part
I keep them and borrow them to my friends but I am starting shift to digital only. I now have so little time to go out and buy games.
@with_teeth26: did you enjoy bloodborne at all?
oh yea that game is great, I'm just not replaying it right now lol
