What are your most recent game pickups?

I got deals on Crash Bandicoot 4 ($40), Watch Dogs Legion ($30), Yakuza Like a Dragon ($50), and I also bought Hades. Out of those, have played Hades and am loving it so far. I got Watch Dogs out of curiosity to see how it plays on PS5 lol. Didn't play enough to have a consensus yet.

Crash Bandicoot 4 and I regret purchasing that piece of crap. Note, the animation, the visuals, the performance and the voice acting are all top notch. But the freaking game is college level design.

Yeah WiiU, one of my favorite games this/last gen. Would have scooped the Swtich version day 1, but it came out right around the time I quit gaming. Just now getting around to it.

I had a $100 amazon GC from work. Bought 3x 12 month xbox LIVE membership cards. Cashed them all in... then upgraded to UGP for a $1. Cost me $81 out of pocket for 3 years of service.

For all those trying this move... it works great, but watch out for the free month. Once you put in your 1st LIVE card to redeem it asks if you want a free month. I took it.

... but when I went to put in my last card it would give me a total of 37 months of service and the max you can do is 36 months. So I had to wait for the free month to expire to allow me to redeem my final 12 months before I could upgrade.

Monster hunter world. overall its...well...its monster hunter so its awesome. I will probably get squadrons when i get my PC back up and running as i really want to give that a go in VR.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX - I liked the Mystery Dungeon games as a kid.

The World Ends with You: Final Remix - I've heard good things about this one.

Pokemon Shield - Repurchased this after giving up on my first attempt of playing the game. Wanted to complete the Pokedex but I've just left that project on the back-burner now. Might come back to it once a new game is announced. Haven't touched the DLC either.

Sonic Mania Plus - Not much of a Sonic fan but I got this one for cheap and thought why not.

My last purchase was Crazy Taxi a month ago for a dollar. Already gotten 25 hours out of it playing against my own records.

And completing Crazy Box, which didn't take very long. Did all of it on Dreamcast ages ago.

Grabbed Detroit on PC, and refunded it within an hour. Constant crashes on the first level.

This month I bought AC: Valhalla, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin and Hyrule Warriors: AoC.

Kind of. I had to place the original music back with a popular mod and move the pedal and break from the triggers to the shoulder buttons before I could do crazy dashes, swerves and fast reverses properly again. Apparently because the controls that were originally analog are now digital. Or something. Framerate also stutters sometimes. Someone somewhere said you can fix the performance by changing one of the Nvidia Control Panel settings for Crazy Taxi, but I didn't see what they were talking about. Still would take this version over the Dreamcast one (because it's much sharper and still mostly 60 fps, as my framerate counter shows, and the PS4 controller doesn't hurt my hands as much as the Dreamcast controller) or a Dreamcast emulator (which suck compared to other emulators).

Yup. Had already slowed down on GS after a lot of us moved over to Discord. Then just quit gaming altogether for a couple years, wasn't posting anywhere.

Started to dip my toes back in, then covid made this shit full time again lol.

Nothing recent. I'm holding off until I get my ps5. Demon's Souls and Miles Morales will be bought the same day. I'll also pick up a few ps4 games I've been waiting to play in pro mode since I still have a launch ps4.

Diablo 2 (yes, II not III). I returned it due to the abysmal state the servers are in. Just wanted to relive some good ol' times.

Fighting EX Layer PC version on sale for 9.99 USD. I mostly want to support Arika since they make a fool out of every other fighting game dev with good things like rollback netcode, a complete (I mean really complete) training mode, no excess of DLC bullshit characters, and most importantly, no BS like "comeback mechanics" or obstacles for technical/skilled/experienced players.
