What are your latest game pickups? #10

I recently got 13 Sentinels for Switch. The video game gods must love me because Gamestop sent me two copies 😄 I returned one and got the game for free 😎I also got 4 years of PS Plus Premium for $60 a year 🤩 and got Kena Bridge of Spirits for $22.

What about you, SW? What are your latest game pickups?

Kena is a solid 7/10 game. Nothing recent for me. Supraland: Six Inches Under was my last I think. The rest has been backlog and GamePass, Humble Choice, etc.

I recently got Kirby, the one and only GotY.

I picked up Kirby and Chrono Cross in the last couple of weeks.

Kirby is a refreshing change of pace after Elden Ring. Basically a less polished Mario 3D World with a bigger focus on relaxed exploration. It's sitting at a 7 or 8 for me so far.

Chrono Cross is surprisingly good. I've never played it before, so it feels like a forgotten gem. It's weird to think that Square Enix used to be at the top of their game...

@Planeforger: never played chrono cross either, even though I really enjoyed chrono trigger.

AC Valhalla.

What can I say: I hate Ubisoft, love Assassin's Creed. Pretty fun game. I admit I was a bit shocked with the new direction of the last three games with Origins, but the gameplay changes have grown on me.

I do miss the populated cities of the first few games, though. Paris, London, and the various Italian cities were a lot of fun to explore.

Nothing to be honest. I still have 3 or 4 games in their original shrink wrap. I didn't even bother downloading a few gamepass games, it's all just too much. I finally opened up smt3 yesterday and started playing that.

I did finally order a graphics card, a geforce 3050. And my steam deck should arrive in 3 or 4 months. Once that comes through, I might pick up a few games off steam.

Halo Infinite and MLB The Show 22 (both from Game Pass).

Grim Fandango Remastered (Switch) - Pre-ordered from iam8bit as soon as Tim Schafer himself announced it.

Doom Slayers Collection (Switch) - As of now, this is the cheapest way of getting a physical copy of Doom 2016 as the rest of the games are download codes (though I have that physical collection from Limited Run with the classics)

My most recent pickups were Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition for Xbox and Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Elden Ring was my last game because I am trying to save money. Ghost Recon Wildlands and Watchdogs 2 on sale looked interesting to me but all my attention is on ER. I also wanted to try FIFA 22 but I’m waiting for it to hit EA Play.

This week I purchased, elden ring, dead space and no man's sky for my steam deck.

Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga, got Elden Ring at launch for PS5 and Steam Deck

Got code vein and just that, well i got the 2 manga volumes of Dragon's Crown i guess that counts; also preordered snow bros.

Haven't bought anything since February. Don't think that will change until Steam Summer Sale, which is probably in July.

I'm strong AF. I could pickup any game. There ain't a game out there that I can't lift bro.

The Last of Us, Part II

Neil Druckmann is a big douche and neither The Last of Us nor Uncharted 4 were good, but for fifteen dollars I'm willing to try out his latest art game. The Lost Legacy WAS good, which just supports my belief that he should never direct or write another Naughty Dog game.

Have you even played TLOU2? It has better gameplay than any previously release ND titles.

@warm_gun: you might be right about Neil druckmann, although I enjoyed both uc4 and tlou1. Tlou2 wasn't a game I liked though. The story line was completely wack. It might be time for some one else to write the script.

Ni no kuni and KOTOR for the switch $25

@mrbojangles25: I just bought Valhalla myself. Recently got a series X and saw it cheap for $20 so I picked it up. Last AC game I played was 3. So this one actually feels alot different than the ones I played. The game is gorgeous tbh, the environments are really nice. Gameplay isn't bad, combat is kind of Interesting with the ability books you find.

I'm enjoying it alot more than I expected.

Just 100% far cry 6 after did the same with dying light 2 earlier in the year,do I now go onto another ubisoft game in horizon forgotten west or have an open world break hmmm

Haven't played it yet. Was mostly for my gf, but the game looks fun as hell.

Before that it was Elden Ring. Currently on NG+ and have also made another character.

Still on the game of the decade.

Last game I bought was 26th of February, Elden Ring of course. 153 hours, not finished yet. Still 3 more mainbosses to go!

Before that was Cyberpunk which I bought a week before and haven't touched since Elden Ring's release.

The only game that I bought recently is Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Had fun playing that game.

Didn’t purchase it but downloaded The Show 22 with GamePass on the XSX.

Picked up XCOM 2 with all the dlc for $4.99. I just started playing XCOM: Enemy Unknown which they gave away for free 5 or 6 years ago and I never got around to it. Now that I finally gave it a shot I am enjoying the hell out of it. Can't wait to finish it and move on to the next one.

XCOM 2 is one of my favorites! After that you might want to check out Mario Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Bought Elden ring, Ghost wire, and Halo infinite on a buy 2 get one free sale. Elden ring has been fun, better than I thought it would be.

Elden Ring, though i've put some time into Tunic and Weird West on Gamepass since as well

Grabbed Lumines Remastered. Good game of course, but mainly bought it hoping it might scratch the same itch as Tetris Effect... nah. That audiovisual experience layered on good ol' Tetris is the ultimate get baked game. One of those games I really wish had some DLC.

Fable Anniversary on Steam. Just really felt like playing that game again for some reason (I already had Lost Chapters).

Elden Ring, GT7, and Returnal. Before that it was Pokemon Legends: Arceus. I probably will stick to playing these and my backlog for a few months. Until GoW: Ragnarok, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and/or Splatoon 3 launches that is. I have a feeling Splatoon 3 is going to get pushed into fall/winter for a release date though and I am thinking GoW:R is going to be a fall/winter game, so until Xenoblade Chronicles 3 launches on July 29th.

Is Ghostwire good at $40?

Just got Skyrim Anniversary Edition for Xbox Series X. Gonna play through this bad boy for the first time ever.
