What are your gaming plans for the rest of the year?

I’m super excited for Bayonetta 3, which will be out October 28th! It’s one of my favorite franchises and it’s been 8 years since the last one. I ordered the Trinity Masquerade edition which is just sick! For anyone who needs a story recap, I found a recent one that was pretty good. https://youtu.be/a4gz5XIZYEA

And then there’s God of War Ragnarok which just went gold and will be releasing November 9th. Between these two games, that alone could easily keep me occupied for the rest of 2022! But wait, therrrrree’s more. I will be trying to finish Xenoblade Chronicles 3. I’m about 30 hours in, so still a bit of ways to go. And whatever time I have in between will be spent with Mario Rabbids 2 and Modern Warfare 2.

How about you, SW? What are your gaming plans for the rest of the year?

To play whatever game that interests me when they release. I don't make plans for gaming like "this is my end of year game plan". There are too many games to play for such a hard lockdown

Gonna buy Kena, Grounded and Spider-Man: Miles Morales at some point. Not sure when; things have been really hectic here in the last couple of weeks, due to non-gaming related activities. So hectic I completely forgot Kena just released. Probably add Mount & Blade II to that as well.

Hoping to complete Spider-Man with what little time I can spare to play it, along with maybe one or two of the above. The rest of my gaming time will be dominated by Total War: Warhammer III.

Probably finish my backlog if possible. Want to play Resident Evil 7 then finish Resident Evil 8 before Winters Expansion comes out. Uncharted 4 is definitely on my list to beat. Just so many games though I am picking ones that I am near beating to finish off 2022. Plan on getting Ragnarok next month for my birthday. Callisto Protocol for Christmas hopefully.

The plan is to have Kingdom Hearts 1 platinumed by the end of the year. I'll try Kingdom Hearts 2 as well, so long as there's enough time. The Evil Within, which I just purchased yesterday, is another game I'm going to try and platinum as well before the years end. Of course my beloved KH will take precedence.

Probably just going to play the backcatalog tbh.

See very little point in purchasing new games ATM.

- Star Ocean: The Divine Force

About time. I don't know how you can game on the One X/S. Well, you wouldn't be able to go back to those systems after you upgraded.

Going thru the new patches on resident evil games until Collisto Protocol drops. RE3 lighting is some of the best work I've seen.

Also playing Sunbreak with the fellas.

My side Deck with Slay the Spire and Rogue Legacy 2 that I'm working through.

Initially it was finish up Xenoblade 3 and FF7 Remake then going back to learning how these game thingymajigs are made before FF7 Reunion comes out in Dec. Also finish Horizon and Take another lump out of Monster Hunter Rise (I havent even started sunbreak).

But then GPU prices dropped here in Europe from "completely stupid" to "still pretty stupid" and that made the upgrades i wanted fit within my budget....so NEW PC (well the guts of a new PC)!!!! So Cyberpunk (which i hear is in a good state now), Spiderman (and MM), Some X4 rebirth (the ol 1500X was a bit of a bottleneck with that one. a very single threaded game) and some other i have been putting off as there is only so much a Vega 64 can do at 4K.

So no shortage of games to play for me anyway this year.

Currently in the middle of my anual Halloween Twisted Metal series replay, plus going through Mario 3D World with the kids. Hoping to finish up Control after that. A friend and I have been talking about trying Lost Ark together, and will probably spend most of the rest of my time on Squadrons.

All subject to change of course :)

Probably, finish Ghost of Tsushima, if time constrains allow me.

I'll pick up Sonic Frontiers next month, but after that, maybe P5R or something else during the steam winter sale like Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 and Lost Judgment.

I just beat Resident Evil: Village, I’ve never played a game in this franchise before and tbh I probably won’t play another one again. I didn’t really see what all the hype was about. Just downloaded Gundam SD, only a couple hours in but loving it so far, will probably stick to that and the new CoD when it comes out.

@ratchetclank92: dang, if there was one RE game you should’ve tried, I would’ve said Resident Evil 2 Remake.

@Renegade_Fury: what’s your GS score prediction for Frontiers?

@SolidGame_basic: like a 7 probably. I think it'll get average to decent scores, but it'll be a breath of fresh air to fans, similarly to how Colors was in 2010.

Oh yeah, I’ll definitely be grabbing the upcoming dlc for Resident Evil: Village.

Next major one is Plague Tale sequel. The first was very enjoyable, despite being fairly restricted. I just enjoyed the world and the varied experience, opposite of tedious OW games.

I’m also thinking about playing Dishonored 2. I finished the first some years ago. But never pkayed the sequel. After playing Deathloop I feel the urge to go back and try Dishonored 2. I really like what Arkane is doing.

So yeah, a lot of French stuff on the menu 😁!

@SolidGame_basic: When it comes to scores, I never do, because my tastes don't line up with 22 year old english major reviewers, and secondly, I just don't care about them in general, lol.

As for the game itself, there's a lot I do like, but stuff like the cyberspace levels look straight out of Forces in terms of length and complexity, so those aspects don't look that fun. If cyberspace comprised of levels on par with Unleashed and Generations, then I'd probably be more hyped.

I just felt it to be too slow and tedious. I am glad I tried it as I’ve always been intrigued by the franchise and the idea of the games. I found myself having to look up walkthroughs/guides to get through a lot of it without wasting too much time.

@hardwenzen: you'll be doing that this year, next year and the year after. Nothing new, since you've been talking about halo infinite since 2020, or maybe even before that.

Halo infinite isn't just renting real estate in your brain, it owns a freaking mansion.

You know and understand the future of Halo Infinite. This is great news. No matter what, Infinite will never be safe with me, and this annoys you greatly.

Bayonetta 3, and then I'm probably just going to play some older titles. I started replaying Metroid Prime 3 and the MCC. There isn't much coming out that really grabs me.

Very excited about Bayonetta 3 at the end of this month, tempted to pick up Persona 5 Royal again for the Nintendo Switch along with Just Dance 2023.

I will be sitting on my large backlog and saving up for PSVR2. Maybe I’ll pick up something during Blackfriday sales, but I have most things I want. I’ll be renewing my PS+.

My backlog consists of RE2 remake, GTA5, Uncharted 4 etc. so I’m busy without buying anything new.

Finish playing Shadow of Tomb Raider. Try to get back into RDR2 (it's boring). After that, I might get FIFA 23 till I go on holiday at the beginning of December. Then, I will play Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core Reunion around Christmas time.

Evil west, God of war Ragnork I am looking foward to but going to wait for sales because 1 I have a backlog and will never not have one just not enough time to play everthing I would like to and I think it would be better to wait for sales instead of paying a full price and than by the time you get to it its cheaper any way. Also looking like I am going to lose my job end of the year because company I work at got bought out and are being moved to Mexico and I have basically had terrible luck trying to find a job for like 10 years.Was stuck at job I hated for 9 because I couldn't find something and than shortly after current job it got bought out. So I should be smarter with my money.

Sonic frontiers I am hoping will be good but with sonic 3d history waiting for reviews has I dont trust that it won't have a game breaking bug or something. Gotham knights waiting for reviews has its a major turn off that they threw away the arkham style combat just a major decision mistake and a big reason I am like iffy on the game over all.

Finishing my 3DS backlog. Taking way to long to accomplish this task. :(

For now I'm just waiting for MW2.. there isn't a whole lot coming out until at least next year that I'm interested in all that much, but it's all good.

I'll be playing Pokemon Scarlet, my backlog and whatever comes onto Game Pass.

Buy a RTX 4090, sell my RTX 3080, crank up settings to max (including ray tracing) and enjoy quality gaming. :)
