What are your favorite feel good games?

I’ve been playing some Kirby and sometimes you need a game like this where it’s just laid back and fun. The music is also great as well. Another game that comes to mind is Little Big Planet. Had lots of charm and a killer soundtrack.

How about you, SW? What are your favorite feel good games?

Def booting up old games. Jumping back into the 90's before the terrorist attacks and school shootings. TNG and DS9 were airing. Spice Girls. Everything was just better compared to the mediocrity we now endure.

Duke3D, Ultimate Doom, Quake are good yins to boot up.

Sometimes find a game completely overlooked, like Hexen recently, flawed but still a gold nugget.

Super Mario World

Back in the 360 days, it used to be UNO... until someone uses his cam to do a helicopter with his dick😥

Tetris. It's such a simple game, but it's addictive and relaxing.

Peggle 2. It doesn’t get much more laid back and relaxing that that.

Most recently it was Kirby and the Forgotten Land. That game was so damn charming and fun. Overall in general it’s pretty much most any Mario game from Super Mario World to Super Mario Galaxy to Super Mario Odyssey. All top notch games to just sit back relax and feel good while playing.

Stardew Valley for sure.

Triple town (on mobile) and Harvest Moon Back to Nature (and GBA remake Friends of mineral town).

I like THPS, downhill domination and SSX as a feel good games. The music, the speed, no story no narrative. Just grinding points.

Also like platformers/collectathons like Mario and Donkey Kong Country Banjo. Platformers are chill feel good games. Tetris effect I tried on gamepass, it's good and pretty "feel good" I suppose.

Feel good is kind of loose term. I feel like all games I like are feel good lol

The original Mirror's Edge for me it has a tranquility to it from the color palette and sunny skies to the soundtrack.

I think that my favorite feels good game at this point is reading any articles related to 343i.🤭It feels good knowing that even i, someone with zero game development experience could do better.

Katamari Damacy

Nothing beats replaying Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time N64. So much classic on that game makes it so damn good.

The first three Spyro games, Final Fantasy IX, Okami, Dying Light

DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball makes me feel good.

StarCraft and Link to the Past. Everytime I boot them up I get instant joy. The original Alone in the Dark does it too.

For laid back games, I'm pretty into hidden object games. Flower and Katamari Forever are great too.

Atelier, older FF, older Tomb Raider, anything NES/SNES/GENESIS/etc. Parasite Eve.

Yeah. The world sucks now. Everything was better before.

Gotta give props to SUPERHOT, suck an amazing game that always cheers up a bit whenever I boot it up

World Worms Party and Mario Kart 64.

Child of Light, Ratchet and Clank, Tekken, Attack On Titan, Wipeout, Hotline Miami. Pretty much all games that don't make me think or concentrate too much.

Any 3D Mario game... especially Odyssey and Sunshine.

Oh idk it's probably some weird anime item shop simulator where you can haggle with your customers and go dungeon diving in search of loot to sell at a high price.

Stardew Valley I think is the closest I've ever felt to that. Maybe sometimes Slay the Spire. It's my zen game.

Persona 5. Just letting the long dialogues play while I am doing other stuff.

Or any game that is flawed and way too easy. Where you can just fool around and do whatever you please without worrying about enemies attacking.

The Donkey Kong's with their David Wise music gets you warm fuzzy feelings as well.

Really liked Snake Pass too, speaking of feel good games with David Wise music.

Will also mention Valheim. It's really cosy.

Halos/Mass Effects/Gears. :P
