What are the Top 3 Greatest Developer?

Greetings Gentlemen! This is an important topic to discuss. What are the top 3 greatest developer Known to mankind? lets talk about it? and why? why do you think they are best? tell me with explaination. so let me start formally

• Valve: often regarded Saviour of PC gaming. They havenot Made a single bad game in their life. i consider left 4 dead their weakest product but that was also great. and Half life series was greatest thing known to mankind.
• ID software: Creator of FPS genre. they are behind Doom and Quake. they are not only creator but also instruct other developer how to make FPS games. they only made one bad game and that was Rage.
• Looking Glass Studio: Studio behind Thief and System shock. i mean in late 90s how they revolutionize gaming industry, take gaming industry forward and create the most deep, and complex games ever. i cant imagine anyone who played thier game in late 90s and doesnot like them..

so here was my explaination. im looking forward to your list and reason why you think X developer is greatest?

- the Metal Gear franchise, best franchise ever, MGS4 best game ever made, MGSV: Phantom Pain will probably be even better, nuff said really

Nintendo EAD

- I don't know which Ninty studio developed which game, but Nintendo has been behind many of the all time greats, like LoZ:OOT, SMG1-2, SMB1-3 etc.. So which ever of there studios that has done the most of the best games from Ninty deserves second spot.

Rockstar North

Consistently making some of the best games out there, all being among the generations best. Every single Rockstar big production game becomes a GOTY contender

Bethesda - Mostly because of TES series. Easily the only single player games i can explore the worlds, stories and lore, for literaly hundreds of hours, without being bored.

Rockstar - They are the best at making action open world games. RDR and GTA series are simply brilliant!

Bioware - KOTOR and Mass Effect (especialy the first one) are some of my favourite story driven RPGs of all time.

Honorable mention to Nintendo, Naughty Dog, CD Projekt, DICE and Valve

Looking Glass Studios: Thief, System Shock, Ultima Underworld. I mean come on, we are talking about a company composed of a lot of MIT graduates, they can be expected to be good.
Nintendo EAD: responsible for Mario and Zelda.
Atlus: I only started getting into their games recently, most games leave me very impressed, only one game left me disappointed thus far and I still aknowledge that as a well made game.

Bioware and valve...

Bioware rarely let's me down and although I couldn't give a rats ass about half-life, valves combination of portal and left 4 dead last gen was pretty awesome.

- Kojima productions. MGS nuff said.

- Naughty Dogs. Probably the only consistent dev in the industry that always delivers.

- Bethesda. Elder scrolls and new IP's like the Evil within and Dishonered make this one of the best.

Valve - They give support. They give free DLC and free games. This is the only gaming company that really cares about gamers. Now gamers can make their own games, sell, make their own movies, modes, everything for free. Valve saved gaming. Not only that, but they made amazing Half Life games, best CO-OP games of all like like Portal and Left 4 Dead and great multiplayer games like Team Fortress 2 and Dota 2.

Rockstar - Best open world games. Nothing else to say.

Naughty Dog - They just simply make great action games. Looks like big hollywood movie. I loved Uncharted 3 online also.

Nintendo makes great games but nothing else. They are anti-party gamers, racists and has no online games. So no, Nintendo has to leave.

Tell me then. What game was bad coming out the ND stall?

I don´t agree with ID and Looking Glass Studio at all. They are not greatest because they havent made any great games last 15 years. Just because they made long time ago some good games does not make them greatest.

It's common knowledge Nintendo and Valve are the greatest developers in the industry, this is of course, the universal answer that should be enforceable applied to all posts across the land.

Capcom would probably be the third. Resident Evil, Street Fighter e.t.c... like Nintendo very important to the early development of consoles.

Unsure why people are saying Naughty Dog. 4 movie games, waste of time. Contributed nothing. Subway ads.

beside ND didnot make any good game. just cinematic movie based games like uncharted and TLOU. good for them who like but not for me.

ID is like valve. make game in decade and take long process.

1. Squaresoft (not Square Enix) in the 90's and early 2000's pumped incredible rpgs one after another.

2. Nintendo (Zelda, Mario, Metroid)

3. Naughty Gods - Again, incredible game after incredible game each gen.

It's no my fault you have terrible video game taste then. Facts are facts, TLOU won most GOTY awards last gen, and it's safe to say it's the best game of last gen.

And lol at ID, they've turned into garbage. The new Doom will be mediocre. ID was great in the past, now they're nothing, especially compared to Naughty Dog.

ID is not even near like Valve. ID is now for console gamers. ID gave nothing to PC gamers.

game Rage was horrible. new wolfenstein game was horrible. Doom 4 is not again casual game with unlimited ammo, unlimited jumping and fast gameplay which takes horror elements away. ID can´t make good games anymore. Their good games were only Doom 3

Agreed. Even Doom III, which was a disappointment for many, it was still 10 times the game of anything Naughty Dog could possibly make. A vastly superior developer, vastly.

yes rage was horrible because of mismanage, id tech 5, console development, never shown on PC. new wolfenstein was not made by ID it was made by talentless hacks known as machinegames.

Doom4 as you describe how it should be. Doom 4 loooks like what doom 3 should have been. fast paced game and not psedu horror.

Valve is the same as ID, great in the past but nothing special anymore now.

Looking at history, Team Fortress 2 was in development since 1999, only to be released in 2007.

It is commonly thought of as the greatest multiplayer shooter around by people who do are incredibly intelligent.

Meanwhile, Naughty Dog bangs out more ripoff's. Ellen Page should have sued really.

Half life is more of game than anyting ND has ever made. try playing both uncharted and HL and then compare which one is more of game. i think uncharted is good game for roller coster ride when u have nothing else to play for some fun but its no Half life. so yes all 200 media are not gamers at all. they are just casuals who scream at ZOMG CINEMATICZ!! AMAZING EXPLOSIONZZ" reason why COD is so popular.

2. It doesnot matter if HL3 coming out or not. Source engine 2 is in development and valve say they are waiting for a game to roll with. so in the end valve will make something else. it could be HL3 or it could be some new ip

Naughty Dog - I'm one who enjoys a story driven experience and Naughty Dog are masters at delivering a great story and coupling it with solid gameplay. I've truly enjoyed every one of their games from the PS3 days and I hope they continue their trend well into the future.

Crystal Dynamics - They not only brought Tomb Raider (a long running favorite series of mine) back from the brink, they did it twice. First in the PS2 days with TR Legend and lastly with the incredible reboot from last year. The bow mechanics are so fun in the reboot that I've started my 4th play through already.

Rockstar - I'm not big on GTA so much as their other titles like Red Dead and Max Payne. One thing is for sure though in that Rockstar delivers games that are polished and have lots of quality. They've been doing that since the PS1 days from my perspective.

Doom 3 was excellent game. no iron sight, no regen health, Perfect graphics at the time of 2004 and destroy everything else till Crysis 1, exploration,

the only bad thing was it was too slow.

atleast i dont scream GOTY GOTY. i look into game closely, play it multiple time, finding flaws, finding how is level design, gunplay, target audience and come to conclusion to declare game x a good or bad.

To me it's 1a)Nintendo EAD 1b) Rockstar North then everyone else. Kojima Productions, Obsidian, Bethesda, Bungie, Valve, Retro and Intelligent Systems all deserve honorable mentions. As for all of the ND love...eh, the Uncharted series is overrated.

Not worth comparing. Doom 3 was the best looking game that had come out until Half Life 2. It was the most impressive looking game that had ever existed at the time, until Half Life 2. TLOU is just ND continuing on their legacy, nothing about TLOU is innovative, it's just a good game, but not groundbreaking (maybe for cows?).

yeah... while Naughty Dog only makes AAA after AAA every single console gen without having to absorb indie devs who made mods that were more fun than their games, they're still worse than Valve because they wanted to remaster a game many ps4 owners never had the chance to play before moving onto their next project. They should've just made an online game store and fucked about for close to a decade developing nothing new, but teasing fans every so often that they are.
