What are some 7th gen multiplats that were objectively superior on PS3?

Normally, I go XBOX 360 if I want a multiplat, as developers at the time knew how to utilize the 360's hardware better than the PS3. But then there are certain titles out there, such as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, with much superior graphics on PS3.

What are some other multiplatform games out there that either look or run better on PS3 hardware than their 360 counterparts?

The Multiplats I felt like were superior on PS3 would be:

  • Dead Space Trilogy
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Zone of the Enders HD Collection
  • Metal Gear Rising
  • Transformers: The Fall of Cybertron

@davillain-: Red Dead ran better on PS3? I'd double check that... pretty sure 360 ran at a higher res and had a more stable framerate.

I went and saw if DF did this and from watching the vid. Didn't realize the PS3 version was so blurry back in the day lol. Being a PC gamer, it is absolutely awful to play on it now cause it didn't aged well at all.

If you own a 360 then try to get multiplats for that. That was the most powerful console last gen. This gen is a little more tricky.

Oblivion and GTAIV certainly were better looking on PS3. And I played them a lot on 360 too, so I know.

Shadow of Mordor was more entertaining on PS3. I had it also on PS4, but I just preferred the PS3 version, due to the slight differences in enemy respawn deployment and boss skill diversity. In other words, PS3 version is easier!

MGSV I also preferred on PS3. The PS4 version feels last gen, whereas PS3 version feels next gen!

Bethesda games were horrible on PS3, laggy and buggy messes with looooong load times. My PS fanboy mate who hates everything Xbox only conceded jealousy for Bethesda multiplats, never any Xbox exclusive.

In other words, just get the X360 versions. in the vast majority of cases they'll be the best console version and in the rare cases PS3 version was superior, the X360 version was never broken or messy.

Oh, then it's not a total lost lol.

Wish I could replay RDR, but at least I know the story in my head after playing it 3 times before it aged bad.

I remember it tried being claimed that GTA IV ran better on PS3, when I tried playing it on PS3 the framerate would tank the moment I got any stars and shit started blowing up. Sure, it looked better considering you never tried to play it the way GTA was meant to be played.

Did oblivion really look better on PS3? That surprises me. Oblivion and Skyrim did look like ass on 360 compared to PC (despite a certain user fixating on the 360 HDR support while overlooking the pathetic resolution and texture deficit...)

The difference between the PS3 version and 360 version was 720p vs 640p there isn't a huge difference to make the PS3 version look blurry.

But i remember how lemmings (not you) use to brag about that 720p vs 640p difference, but this gen could not see any difference between 720p and 1080p.

Not to sound rude, but why are certain people turning this informational topic into a buying guide? If you'd have read my original post, you'd know I'm aware that most 360 multiplats are better than the PS3 versions. This doesn't change me wanting to know which games are better on the PS3 though, and some examples why would be nice too.

To me between 360 and PS3 are all the same except for online.

XBL is better than PSN though.

E.g COD on 360 has less hackers and faster connection compared to PS3 version.

LOL.

MW2 is the most hacked thing on 360. Even more hacked than BLOPS2 on PS3.

Usually Japanese developed games and LA Noire (conceived as a PS4 exclusive, becoming multiplat later).

Most perform better on x360.

It's good that in this generation, both systems run the multiplats fine, RDR on ps3 was a mess.

Games developed first for ps3 run better on it. But most devs last gen used the x360 as the base of development.
