Better late than never
Here is the list of supported games (PS5 versions only):
Great. So we are gonna be able to play a handful of PS5 games, and some multiplats, at 1080p and 80-120fps. (Mostly sub 100) Cool?
@fedor: cool thanks:) never experienced screen tearing on my PlayStation though, might be different if you play on a monitor I guess!?
@x_hedon: only had it for a couple of weeks, so only played Elden ring, R&C and Spider-Man MM on it, so might be the reason!

I forgot to mention, these are the ones they are "planning" on supporting. The support is "coming" as they finish the patches.
@mesome713: yup the psvr2 is coping card board box vr. The only thing Sony copied was motion controls. Even though it was totally different tech.
All companies get ideas off of other companies.
Vrr is not coping its a setting. Like saying 4k tvs coping other 4k tvs.
Not only a year and a half late to the party, but inferior to Xbox VRR,don't worry Sony cows forgive you(accept any old shit and say thank you) 🤣
@fedor: how so? That's a good question. But it seems by Xbox fans it does help. Saying vrr makes series x version better. So now if the game supports it. Itshould run just as good as the series x games that use it.
But for me I always gamed on consoles. So I'm use to slow downs from many bad guys on the screen or screen tearing or what ever. I don't even notice it anymore.
I just read more about it

sony loves to hide stuff.
My Sony X90J has VRR, but most TV's don't. So unless you own a new Sony Bravia TV or you connect your PS5 to a PC monitor, this feature is useless to most.
Awesome. It is always great to see features that should have been present day one pushed off to 1.5 years. It reminds me of that unfinished game.😎
Halo INF? yah I know the feeling

There are plenty of TVs with VRR and most of them are not made by Sony.
Sorry in a Sony fan's head there is only Sony and nothing else 😁

I'm not a fanboy of any corporation. I'm rich. I buy everything.

If you are "rich", why did you settle on a X90J as your TV? I am not rich and my LG C9 TV from 2019 is better than yours and supports both VRR and G-Sync.

a fool and his money are soon parted.... you bought a TV that is not even the best at gaming (or other things)

I've been hearing about that for a while now. Here's Sony saying it themselves... turns out it was hidden in plain sight
As an added option, you can also choose to apply VRR to PS5 games that don’t support it. This feature may improve video quality for some games. If this results in any unexpected visual effects, you can turn off this option at any time. Both VRR and this secondary option can be turned on or off.

its do to gimp hdmi port. that not full spec hdmi port.
I'd be interested in seeing the DF testing.
Seems like it was implemented in a way that could cause compatibility issues rather than the hardware having native support
I remember when LG added GSync to my LG C9 via firmware and it was buggy to say the least and black screened at worst.
My LG C1 is a lot better since it was developed with GSync from the beginning
I have never been able to tell 30 fps from 60 fells and looks 100% the same to me but will be interesting to see if some games that where 60 can now be like 90 or something. I still dont really understand what this means. Will be interesting to see what digital foundry finds when they test it. I am sure they will test to see what kind of frame rate games get with this now compared to before.
