A better score than Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash for the Wii U which GameSpot gave a 6/10 score in November 15, 2015.

Just another solid addition to the evergrowing Switch' library.
Was really happy with the demo. Have it pre-ordered for friday.

I’m preloaded and ready to go! Fortnite might prove to be a big distraction though.

Yeah, it has such an 8/10 written all over it. Called it.

Never had a chance to try the demo but it genuinely looked really fun.

I played Fortnite yesterday and I had and still have zero idea what to do goal and purpose wise.

Tennis is appealing since it has a story mode. TBH I can't remember much about the Wii U game since it stunk.

Mario sports games are basically the only sports games that manage to be fun. Mario Strikers was awesome as well.

I wanted to get it before the demo for the single player mode, and the demo sold me on it more. I’ve never been that into online, but I got hooked on the demo (played it for 5 hours when I planned on just trying it for maybe 30 minutes). So it’s a day 1 buy for me and I've waited 14 years for a good follow up to Power Tennis since Game Cube and Aces is looking to fulfill that role for me.

Demo was great and it is already preloaded on my Switch!

@DocSanchez: I think he is more referring to the arcade nature of the Nintendo sports games.

I don't actually think this is fair, of course. Titles like FIFA, Madden and NBA 2K have their own fans and rightly so.

I always liked Mario Tennis games. I will probably pick this up at some point.

To be fair, Mario Sports games are as close to "Extreme" Sports as we'll ever get now that Extreme Sports are dead. Sorry but Litchie is right about Mario Sports games, their fun then you give'em credit.

Does it have more features than the Wii U game? That one was terrible and had hardly any content.

Sounds pretty good. I’d kind of like to get this myself but there are other games that I want to get first.

@jcrame10: From what I understand, yeah it does. I mean, they had to, right? Any more lazy than the Wii U version and the dev team would have had to develop the game asleep.

@jumpaction: I only object to the suggestion that Mario sports are the only "fun" games - even using the alternate usage of the word which means lighthearted enjoyment. Fire Pro Wrestling. Virtua Tennis. Windjammers. Super Strikers. Everybody's golf/tennis. Sports games have been both fun and serious since the beginning.

Personally, I love NFL Blitz on PS1 and Wii Sports Resort... well some of the game on there at least.

Although, I think we can all agree that very few people enjoyed Outlaw Tennis.

Only Mario Tennis game I bought was the GC one, Mario Power Tennis I think it was called?

Might get this new one though with the positive reception it seems to have been getting.

The Wii U entry was rushed beyond belief which is one of the reasons why it was sparse with features.

Yeah, another amazing game ! Tennis game ! I wonder how many of you would give a shit if this game was exactly the same tennis experience without being a mario game. Let me guess... none of you.

Anyways, game looks and plays ok. Nothing extraordinary or out of this world.

EDIT : It seems Gamespot scores on some Switch games latetly are on the high end of the score spectrum also. Go figure.

@Solaryellow: That game really was just a total lazy job. Like, there was nearly nothing exceptional or unique looking about it. The additions they added such as the ultra mushroom were totally lame.

This game looks like they put some thought into it, at least.

So much hype over a tennis game you all sheep sound like its the next Zelda ! And all that because this tennis game using mario icons, i bet my life you wouldnt even care otherwise.

Maybe consider spending more time talking about the games you are interested in instead.

It looks like a good arcade tennis game. Hopefully it has some depth and legs to play throughout the year. Certainly looks far better than their last effort which was totally lazy.

Yeah , amazing. Best game ever, 8/10 , the best ! Just waiting for metacritic because i think this tennis game will be something sheep will be mention for the rest of the year as something great .

Again, this is system wars though. If you cant handle trolling or even negative criticism over your favorite games or company change boards or stop making topics or even posts about how X game is amazing, solid, great, the best etc ... because people might have different opinions.
