Me searching for PS5 price news but somehow got linked to this Series S reveal. Eh, enjoy. Seems like a really small system, good buy for those on a budget. Now Sony, can we get that PS5 news already I am desperate here.

Seems like many of insiders starting to confirm this. Now instead of xbox news that nobody care how about we get news on PS5 that people actually wants to buy?

If it is priced at 299 I can easily see the series x priced at 599 or higher.

Still works just fine on a 4K tv. Your 4K tv might even do a bit of work and upscale it. Might even perform better than a console trying to push 4X the pixels, we'll see.

...but yeah... useless cuz it can't play a few Sony exclusives. Womp.

1080p upscaled to 4K can result in a soft image. Kind of distracting of you know where to look. But still playable all the same.

When you start it up it samples "applebottom jeans wit the boots and the fur...".

Honestly I think it will do alright at 1080p. Plus they have the whole Xcloud thing for those who care.

I'd never consider it, but I can see it being a good option for more casual gamers who don't want to spend a lot on hardware.

Couple hundo can do a whole lot for a poor college kid, speaking from experience (a decade ago).

1080 scales evenly to 4K. So it has an advantage vs other odd resolutions when upscaled. At least you wont get an extra column or row here and there.

re PS5 news .. supposedly (according to Youtuber MGB) Sony is revealing a bunch of VR stuff all week (including some sales) but they specifically said there will be "no next gen news" ..

Anyway the design looks kind of weird but if the price is accurate I could see people being pretty tempted by it. Personally not for me, I value having my games on physical format too much. I’ve already got a sizeable library of games on disc so I really want to be able to play those on it. It’ll be the Xbox Series X for me.

It's actually real, I was looking for PS5 news when a friend shared about PSVR news happening this week. The leak happened literally within minutes of me searching.

Why are Sony and Microsoft trying to outdo each other for the ugliest console? Who thought that vent should be black? And other people signed off on that?

Probably reusing parts from Xbox One X. The new Series S doesn't seem much different from the existing Xbone X consoles. almost similar dimensions as well looking from the leaked pics.
