Unreal Tournament PC best upcoming FPS and graphic king

Been keeping up with all the latest stuff in the forum. A friend of mine who's been working on some UT stuff said a playable version for the public could come out in five months. There is also a possible cinematic trailer for the game using in game asset when everything is polished enough. Many modders have opted to remake the older UT maps and done a pretty good job with it.

A lot of the older modes will most likely make a return like TDM, CTF, Assasult. These are the most demanded in the community. There rumor of a possible game mode with only mech armors not sure about the specific related to what I posted below. Another interesting information is one of the developers Steven Polge is working on a dodge roll feature

You think this will be the best upcoming shooter returning with all the old school stuff we loved about UT.

Here are some potential classes archtypes with their own unique traits and abilities

Soldier - By the book government / corporate endorsed factions. Sleek and new equipment. Thunder Crash primarily, but could use another new one.

Mercenary - Teams of more "DIY" fighters, but nonetheless mostly with military or private contracter backgrounds. Create an amalgamation of Iron Guard & Dark Phalanx.

Outlaw - The Black Legion / Necris, Raw Steel. Should be made to be more like space pirates than a bunch of Borg clones.

Cyberpunk - Juggernauts / Geneboosts etc. Tone down the fat look and keep the grungy street gang look.

Cyborg - The Corrupt, War Machines. Some newer models, some older generation ones which might look partly broken, but nonetheless very powerful.

The Guns are starting to look real nice

Abilities:

- Wall-crawling

The Venom can ascend walls and walk on ceilings, providing a huge number of tactical opportunities.

-Dodging

Same as normal player character dodging.

-Boost

Gives the Venom a small boost in movement speed, can be used to trample players (and give dodging some more oomph?).

-Gliding

After jumping or dropping from a raised position, the Venom can glide. While gliding the player can drop mines/bombs and shoot sweeping lasers?

-Sweeping Lasers

Like the Darkwalker primary fire, but less damage. The increased mobility and turn rate make up for the lesser damage.

-Shield

The Venom bring it’s four front legs forward to block incoming projectiles and splash damage. It’s legs have heavy protective plates that protects the bot from most of the damage.

While shielding, movement is reduced due to the legs being deployed as shields. This also prevents jumping and dodging.

-Artillery mode

The Venom can change into artillery mode, gaining splash damage and other skills, but losing mobility. (This can be used very effectively in conjunction with wall-crawling. ie. crawling onto the ceiling of a cave or on top of a roof, and transforming into artillery mode.)

-Trample

Can ram into infantry, either knocking them over, disabling them or killing them.

Combine

-Can combine with another Venom to create twin-Venom! Dun dun dun.

Twin-Venom

I would say because of community involvement it would be a shooter many of us have always wanted good old school with some modern implication.

I been sorely unimpressive with most shooters these days hardly any have impressed or kept me interested in them. UT has the advantage of having the community work alongside with the developers. This is a rare opportunity for fans to work on a game they really enjoy.

Most impressive UE game and not surprising considering this a game from Epic they know the capabilities of their engine inside and out so this would push boundaries.

Quake Live is hanging on by a thread and this new UT is going to have a much smaller demographic due to the higher reqs. I would like to see this be very popular but i just don't see how. The only hardcore shooter pc gamers seem to want to play is Counterstrike.

Hopefully this game will have a sizable competitive scene.

Lets not stoop to cow level and claim a game that isn't technically out yet and label it graphics king. But, yes the GAMEPLAY graphics look amazing.

The new UT is still supposed to be f2p right? I'll play the absolute shit out of that, even if I have to do it on low settings. I play counterstrike every day. Been playing UT2004 again, just offline against bots. Might have to see if there are any people online.

Only a console gamer would be stupid enough think a graphics king won't be on PC for the majority of a gen.

I was on a few months ago and couldn't find any games. Maybe with the new UT hype, UT 2004 might get a small resurgence.

Your mom must have dropped you on your head. The consoles are crappy laptops without the functionality. Essentially worthless.

graphics king and f2p are not a good mix unless the UE4 scales extremely well. It might, but I'm not overly confident.

Can the resolution on those textures get any lower?

A pre pre alpha with basic Incomplete test levels is not graphics king.....at least not yet.

I did like the UT2K4 ones, but 3's ones didn't feel as right. That hoverboard was...............eh. But i've always digged the Scorpion. Even if the Manta was better.

Thta Venom does look really interesting though. A multi purpose vehicle. Let's just hope it's balanced.

There is nothing special about that game visually. It looks like a standard current gen shooter. Does it look good? Yes. Does it look better then anything out now or coming to the near future? Lol um no.

@TheFadeForever: Ac unity has crowds with over 300 people. Yet you are impressed by a stale image of a wall. Please stfu. And there is nothing from what I've seen from that game that puts it above KZ:SF or the new COD.

@RoboCopISJesus: It blows most games out of the water. It funny though because you have never seen it in person and the only people that hate on it all have that in common. The AA used in the game is outstanding and it's in full 1080p so looking at a full screen image isn't going to make the game looks worse.

UT is probably gonna be top 3 but Star Citizen is the true next graphics king,and will be for quite a while(probably a reign as long as Crysis),especially considering the massive size of the game.

@bldgirsh: I would say it's a valid graphics king. Graphics king is subjective at this point as there are lots of amazing looking games out there. The only people that would think Infamous SS isn't one of the best looking games out there are rabbid pc fanboys and Lems most of which who have never played it.

So no you haven't cleared that up.

3. Ryse PC

4. Doom 4 PC

5. Witcher3 PC
