I'm on mobile, sorry I can't post video. You would think GS would have fixed this already.
Anyway, this looks badass. Agreed?

Looks a little worse than how I remember. Not quite the upgrade Gears: Ultimate got.
Uncharted 2 is a much better game though.
For past PS3 owners, Uncharted 1 will probably be the only one really worth it on a pure "upgrade" basis - the framerate was pretty bad on that one (I recall it having pretty bad screen-tearing anyway - 2 and 3 seemed to run fine at 30fps).
I already have all these on my PS3, so it's a tough sell. I might pick up the collection when it's cheap to replay them again at 1080p/60fps. But there's lots of other games ahead of this on my list, and it's not even close to my top remasters. Of course if I didn't already play all of them or was new to Playstation, I'd be all over this collection.
What's the verdict? Are we impressed here? I need Cows to tell me what to think so I don't get made fun of later on.
The guy playing is really good at showing off how wonky and dumb the platforming can be in that game.
AS much grief as I give this game, the train section was pretty smartly done.
P.S. I forgot just how ridiculously wonky looking Nathan's jumping animation was. What the hell is that?

You say that like Uncharted gets nothing but love and praise on this forum. In fact I have never seen a gaming forum that thinks Naughty Dog are such cretins of the industry.
Be honest: how many of you are purchasing this collection while already owning the games on PS3?
Moi.
@Zen_Light: I'm done with the mp, it was only ok. Campaigns are where it's at. They are a game release like any other. Don't like it, don't buy it. Millions of gamers will buy it though, cos they are awesome.
My PS3 versions are awesome enough already. :P
Looks ok. Nothing out of this world. Still I don't understand this reverie about the train scene. Uncharted 2 is a good game but I loved it not for that set piece - I liked more winter environments and Shangrila.
Maybe getting back into pc gaming has spoiled me but it looks much worse than I remember.
seems a bit washed out and lacking in textures.
@Zen_Light: *shrugs* I love them, was gonna play through 1 and 2 again anyway, these versions being even better is just icing.
These versions don't even have the MP. They're just a cash grab and shouldn't be rewarded for doing it.
Or, they're great for a person who hasn't played any of the Uncharted videogames, and doesn't own a PS3, like me.
Hah that terrible A.I ... "Oh hey, we suddenly saw you .. .despite not...".
The person playing is playing it on very easy. Trust me I have beaten U2 and U3 more than a dozen times and Platinum U2.
Also 2009 game from a new IP that most didnt give a chance. And something everoyne seems to be overlooking is that U2 is rated T for Teen. Everyone has forgotten this cuz of TLoU and how U4 is looking.
@verbalfilth: Or maybe it's because you are watching it off a shitty compressed YouTube video.
Nah, that video doesn't look that great. However, in terms of pure graphics, that level never looked that great due to the sacrifices that had to be made to get it to run. Watching a video just shows more of those flaws since you're not focusing on playing the game and can thus look around the scene. Obviously the level was an impressive technical feat, but it had to sacrifice a lot to get there.
I think it's pathetic that Taco Bell is running a promotion for this collection. It's a fucking collection. Of old games. Is this what this generation is all about now? Being excited for last generation's repackaged games? Pathetic...

At the time is was insane. The thing is Uncharted 2 was a sequel to a game that wasnt played by many and was thought of as an ok decent IP. Not many people where expecting much for U2, especially when they announce multiplayer for it there was a huge backlash.
Of course once it came out everyone was blown by it.
Also take into consideration that in this video the guy playing sucks horribly (didnt even know how to throw grenades) and he was playing on very easy.

Old games that need a day 1 patch no less. It's bad enough that new games get it, but now companies are rushing to put out old games, and it's like... people won't care if they have to wait longer for old games. The whole point is to take time in making them. But even these are getting strict deadlines like the yearly call of duty and assassin's creed, and it's insane. So instead of masterfully made (they're called remasters, right?) packages, we get master chief collections, gotta build that hype for halo 5, quick! (not saying this collection will be bad at all, but the fact old games need patches is funny)
I mean there's no reason not to get excited about an HD remake/remaster, but yeah it shouldn't *have* to be some massively hyped thing. But they are, because games are incredibly slow to come out now, and in lower number, so they have to push something.
I'm telling ya, the writing is on the wall for consoles (not made by Nintendo, I still have hope for them).
