UK: Gran Turismo Sport beats launch week sales, [+867%] from previous week

There’s no surprise in the Top Ten, with Call of Duty: WWII keeping its top spot for the fourth consecutive week, with sales up 84 per cent. FIFA 18 gained one place to No.2 following a 237 per cent growth in sales, while Gran Turismo: Sport climbed from No.12 to No.3. Sales for Sony’s racing exclusive increased by an whopping 867 per cent, as it was on offer with most PS4 bundles last week.

Yup, I think it was.

The update for offline mode doesn't go live till next month but I imagine a lot of people were impressed by the news enough to buy the game in anticipation of it.

GTS has solid sales so far and GT has legs.

If GT6 can reach over 5 million with NO marketing whatsoever, GTS will easily eclipse that.

That's great news, the game was starting to look like a flop but with the single player updates it looks like it will pick up steam during the holiday season

was 29 bucks here in AUS. usually 79-89. Picked up a copy myself in anticipation for the extra content coming December

The game hit the bargain bin *hard* a month after it came out, so this is not a surprise.

I can't remember the last time a major new release got this big of a price cut.

I'm guessing the very negative launch reception was a big factor here.

Wait, was it seriously selling ~10k a week for a few weeks? I don't pay attention to these things, so my reference frame may be off, but that sounds really bad for a major AAA game so close to release.

Apparently it was just the crazy discounts

For a game to be $30 in Australia a month after release means it sold like shit here. I mean Forza Horizon 3 is still around $40-50 in most places here, and it's over a year old.

Yeah, $30 is crazy cheap... not a good sign. But hey, each to their own :)

I'll keep playing Forza for my car fix until GT7 arrives, IF it arrives, hopefully it's good. GTS is trash.

Looks like the definitive racing experience is delivering.

We also had FH3 at $39, Forza 7 at $49.

True... but FH3 came out a year ago and FM7 was before GT Sport.
