U4 – “Almost scary real, photo realistic.”

I don't know who this Martin Sofiedal guy is, but he managed to sneak a peek at Uncharted 4 and had this to say:

"I got to see some pretty raw stuff from the new game, including drawings of planned action sequences and how all the characters look like now with upgraded graphics. It was almost scary to see Sully as an almost living person. I also got to see a few seconds of the opening scene, which is still under development, but already looking incredible.”

Looks like Uncharted 4 is shaping up nicely. Some in game footage would be nice to see soon!

Why is it like nobody has seen any gameplay ? I mean they can't even make rumors about it ..... I find this very troubling, but its not like I didn't see it coming.

I doubt this. I love ND but they are like rockstar in that things rarely get exposed by people getting early access, especially with the guy giving his name and all. I have no doubt it will look amazing but this has to be fake.

Hope its more like the first 2 where it was more about the adventure and not just set pieces that dont fit the game.........ie ship and desert levels

And heres a much larger issue, Sony Exclusives always get threads made here in System Wars.... They never pop up in GD.

900p/30fps/letterbox confirmed

Since when was Uncharted 4 a video game? Coulda sworn it was a movie.
The worst part? The movie will be in 900p 30fps. I mean PS4 can't even handle CoD: AW at 1080p 60fps without small dips so what makes people think Naughty Dog are going to hit this mark with U4?
But until we even see footage this "Photo-realistic" claim is about as valid as the hobo on the street who said he saw heaven for a few seconds.

@lavenders2001: well if they develop u4 like the others it wouldnt be hard. Small areas, heavy scripting, flat textures, triple buffering, etc. It wouldnt be hard to focus on graphics when the devs know where the player will be/do.

I wouldn't be surprized if the game was built around the best angles and lighting to capture the perfect close up.

One thing I know for sure is the gameplay will be good this time around, not great but good... But when cows see it...... Lets just say there won't be a reason for me to visit system wars until the game releases.... Theres going to be so much speculation and nisinformation all the result of being repressed for so long. And until we see direct-capture footage of the game in real-time running on the PS4 (and not some PC-based devkit), these kinds of statements (probably used by Sony to generate more hype for an already overhyped game) are utterly meaningless.

Of course...it's a guy who made a well-known Uncharted fan film that has been used by Naughty Dog & Sony at different events. They gave him a private preview...what do people think he's going to say about the game?

Actually No.... Naughty Dog has never delivered on the Graphics Front.... Not Once.

Yes they dedicate alot of time and effort to it but its not actually impressive. Well that mostly depends on on your standards.

The term "photo-realistic" has been thrown around for nearly a decade now in relation to video game graphics. I have no doubt it'll look incredible (it's Naughty Dog after all) but lets no get carried away.

Yeah, an exaggeration no doubt. But we all know that UC4 will look fucking sick. Say what you will about the gameplay, say it's linear, scripted, whatever. The game is gonna look damn good.

WOW, so much butthurt over this one report. Lems and sony haters really are a bunch of insecure clowns. It's funny to hear morons who are constantly wrong about graphics (PS3 wining most GOTY awards last gen for best graphics) tech and have no clue about what can be done on PS4 talk about what a game will or won't be. Lulu_Lulu having an epic melt down.

I remember when lems didn't believe the claims about GOW3 and tried to bash every claim that came out saying how amazing it looked, until it released and blew every xbox game ever made out the water and won graphics GOTY that year.

What makes you bitter lems actually think they would have someone make a claim like that with no merit to it? Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, GOW3 ...every time people reported on them and you lems denied it and then you got your shit pushed in upon release with review and award confirmation.
