TV/Monitors Vs TVs for Gaming

Ok. I wanna buy a TV and somepeople say buy a TV/Monitor because they are cheaper and resolution is better. Please you guys help me out.

Sounds like TV monitors are better. Ok so tell me why they are better and do they support HDMI ?

i bought myself a smausng syncmaster 225bw for 200 bucks its 22inchs and has an native res of 1650x1080 so u can only have 1280x1024 at most of the ps3 and 360, but it is still 1024p lol :D, it has a dynamic contrast so up to 3000:1 but at defualt has 1000:1, i say get it if u don't mind the 22 inches, widescreen and yeah...u still need to get vga cables, but they are like 40 bucks for each system for me...i still spent under 300 for 1024p and brillant gaming for a student :D

Which one has better resolution ? TVs or Monitors ?

I don't know about HDTV monitors. I don't have one.

I have a 1080i HDTV and it does well for me with the Xbox 360.

This is how i see it - if it's for the living room for sharing and movies at parties etc in the living room, go for the larger tv. If it's mostly gaming, normal PC usage, and the occasional film mainly for yourself, in your own room, get a TV/monitor.
