TT Dev who leaked new Wii U controller already FIRED, might be taken to COURT.

If he actually leaked it then he should be fired. You'd have to be really dumb to do something like that and not expect serious consequences.

It sounds reasonable to me. If you sign a contract saying you won't do something, and then you do it, expect consequences. It's really as simple as that.

We're all adults here, well probably not (lol), but it's all about being an adult. Taking responsibility for your actions. The guy messed up and he has to man up and face the consequences. There's really no reason to feel sorry for him.

It wasn't a very smart move on his part. All it takes is a little common sense to know sharing information you're under agreement not to is a bad idea.

Stupid on his part but its petty to fire him and sue him. Just suspend him without pay and give him one hell of a warning. Its gonna hard for this guy to find a new job now.

Suing may be too much, but firing him? No. You can not make it in the entertainment industry if you do not respect NDA. He will be black listed in this field as he should. In some cases a blunder like this can bring an entire company down.

Nothing petty about firing this guy at all. Pulling a no call, no show is enough to get fired at most places, but violating a binding contract goes way beyond the realm of termination.

Lucky for him, most skill sets required for game development are easily transferable to other markets. Sure its a major set back, but he did it to himself knowing damn well the range of consequences.

Doctors lose licenses and get sued for violating patient confidentiality, so I don't see why this guy deserves an easy ride. Nintendo and Ubi are not the bad guys here, nor are they petty.

Yeah a dude like that is a liability that nobody wants on their team...he'll never work in the games industry again. If he were working for a smaller studio he could easily put the entire studio's relationship with Nintendo in jeapordy, since it's the studio that deals with the hardware vendor and negotiates the NDA's on behalf of their employees. There's a reason you don't have developers just running around spilling the beans on next-gen consoles. :P

If true, OWCH. That really sucks for the dev. I hope he/she doesn't face any serious charges. It's just a video game system after all, and heck, the picture made fans happy! I know I'm more excited for the Wii U now that I know the controller is better.
