Today is the 20th anniversary of the original Metal Gear Solid

Wow, 20 years. Where were you when this game came out, SW? I was 12 years old at the time. I remember my friend telling me to get it. I also remember playing the demo. It was so unique for its time. This was the game that pretty much made me a gamer. It's been my favorite game ever since. Have you played, SW? Favorite memories? I pretty much loved everything lol. The setting. The story, the characters, the writing and voice acting. Have beaten it at least 8 times.

I can remember taking the manual with me to grade school and reading it all the time in class lol.

Twenty years now. I was 27 then, good times. Happy 20th MGS.

It was pretty good game. probably best PS1 game ever. then series gone downhill.

I was holding out hope that Konami would release a HD collection to coincide with the anniversary. Oh well. :(

For whatever reason they refuse to put it on PC.

It's simple, releasing MGS Collection on PC would be missing out Metal Gear Solid 4: Gun of the Patriots due to being PS3 exclusive and will never see it on PC. Every MGS game including Portable Ops and Peace Walker is playable on PC, with the exception of MGS4 not being ported to PC.

Why don't they just do another full PS4/Xbox one remake from the ground up of MGS 1.

I played it at someone's house since I only owned the N64 and not the Playstation 1. The game was incredible for its time.

It would be much cooler if they did a 3D remake of Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake since they already did a remake of Metal Gear Solid 1 on Gamecube.

That makes no sense. if that was the case then why did they they release MGS Collection on the xbox? MGS4 wasnt on Xbox..

And they still could release 1-3 on PC without 4

@FinalFighters: It's only MGS4 is what's missing from the Collection and this is Konami were talking about. That's just their way of thinking and I truly wish MGS4 would come to PC, I don't feel like replaying that game on PS3.
