I think people are overestimating how much they think this will sell all around, the game is a brand new franchise, sure gaming nerds are pumped for it but your casual consumer will probably not take a second glance at it and just pick up the latest crappy COD game because that's what their friends are playing. Now surely it still has a chance to make waves, but it'll need to create buzz for itself first.

A lot of casuals will buy this just because it from the "makers of COD." They are not hiding their Call of Duty roots at all and are actually using it in their marketing. The casuals will take notice.

So much for system seller of XBone. KZSF has done 2.1 million on PS4 alone and it doesn't even have a quarter of the hype Titanfall has. Looks like my prediction may come true after all. It will sell a ton on the three platforms combined but it won't be the system seller MS hopes it to be. We're already seeing this on Amazon and Gamestop websites, PS4 selling like hotcakes and being the number one system sold despite the Titanfall bundle. Last time I checked Titanfall game was no. 6 on Amazon US and the bundle was no.15 meanwhile the PS4 was no.3. I'm gonna lol so hard if PS4 outsells XBone in March despite the ad blitz and hype from MS. Lems better prepare to take a vacation from SW if PS4 outsells XBone in March.

Killzone sold 2.1 million over 3 months with a 6 million install base. Titanfall will sell over 1.2 million in one month on just the XBox One alone with about 3.8 million install base. That doesn't even include how many they will sell on XBox 360 and the PC. That's actually a better sales amount then what KZ:SF did in 3 months.

A little surprised it's not expected to be higher given how much hype it's getting. Then again it's not a particularly great game, so perhaps it makes sense.

1.25M in the first month? That sounds reasonable to me ... a little more than a third of the Xbox One userbase.

Also that article is pretty incorrect. It says that the Xbox 360 has ten times the install base of the Xbox One. The Xbox 360 actually has about twenty times the install base.

Lol, who in the hell takes System Wars so seriously they'd not want to post no matter what happens? This is all just about video games man. Whether Titanfall sells both great as a game and MS wins or if it flops and PS4 sells more you'll still be on your knees sucking Sony, and thats one prediction we can all take to the bank. A system seller is about more than the first month sales. They certainly matter, but long-term does the game have the kind of appeal that draws gamers in? That's to be determined, but there's zero doubt TF will be a success. To what degree we shall see. I just can't wait to play the game.

1.3 million lifetime sales IMO. 600,000 first month with Xbone making up 400,000 and the other two hoovering up the rest.

Our store has taken only about 10 pre orders for titanfall. Two are mine, and 6 are other employees. I don't think this is going to be the system seller lems are hoping it will be.

I have posted pictures of me playing the xbox one and ps4 a month before they came out, people waiting in the snow for ps4s, and other information that has been verified.. But whatever lol. I've been here for almost 10 years, it's not like I haven't been around and far from a troll or someone that just posts bs. That's why my post count is extremely low for the time I've been here.

1.25 won't even cover the marketing costs, seeing how much they're marketing the absolute shit out of TF to move the still unsold day one allocation. They even bought "Titanfall week" on GameTrailer and IGN. They went as far as bundling it in the UK.

But it simply isn't getting preorders like other games (ie destiny) are. Oddly we have only received two of the bundled systems so far. Maybe I'll just have to take a picture of them in my warehouse tomorrow for you.. Just like if you look at my profile you will see other warehouse pictures. Fwiw, I've actually enjoyed most of your posts and felt you were one of the better posters here.

So we are going to throw around numbers that have no basis in reality? The if Titanfall on the XB1 because of sales in the first month, then what is Infamous: Second Son on the PS4 that Pachter is guessing will only sell 1.5 million in it's lifetime. (second last paragraph of link)

Both numbers (the XB1 Titanfall sales and the PS4 Infamous:SS sales) are made up and have the exact amount of crediility

No official numbers released yet, but the puzzle/r&g quest set up in the UK, the paying of YT's with XM13-tag, the several lavish pre-release events, several prime-time commercial in the states and europe etc. are not cheap.
