There's also a free trial and double XP going on this weekend. I'm pretty happy with the way EA supported this game, even though it failed to meet expectations. There was also free DLC in February. Hopefully they find a way to keep this franchise going. I'm liking the remastered map already. Anyone here still playing Titanfall 2? Giving it a chance this weekend?

true. its just a decent SP game. shame if they focus more on SP and make it double the length is. it would be really really good game. it has a good level design. but focus on shitty MP is what ruined the game.

Titanfall 2 is crazy fun I'm disappointed with myself for not picking it up day one

Titanfall 2 is an excellent game. I loved the campaign and the multiplayer is tons of fun. Need to go play it again.

This is how all MP should be handled, IMO. I hate games that split there player base with paid DLC maps.

I mean sure, it'd be nice if cosmetic stuff was free, but if they're gonna charge for something, I'd rather it be the stuff I don't need to still enjoy the game.

Titanfall 1 took over from COD, and 2 continues this trend. I mean, it's the COD devs who made 4 such a classic.

As someone who has regularly played this since release and a big fan of the original, the current DLC offerings have been pretty lame.

2 remade maps that don't work well with the new mechanics (grapple, a-wall) and 2 new tiny maps made specifically for one new pilots v pilots and that mode only.

It's free, I get it, but I want new maps. The whole point of the store with camo packs, banner packs, and prime titans (premium skins) was to keep post-launch content free and not splitting the community but it's been pretty lackluster content thus far.

Stopped playing about 2 months back.. but I still think it's a pretty good game.

People still give a shit about TF2? That thing died out faster than the first. I love how their dlc plans are mostly remaking old maps, that's pretty hilarious.

They should have waited and released it...now.

Titanfall 2 is a beautiful game and in many respects more worthy of a larger playerbase than BF1 and COD:IW but they decided to release it between BOTH of those games (and why they released it against another EA title, I do not know...)

Their generous DLC strategy is further evidence of the affection this game deserves. A damn shame, truly one of the best games of 2016, and by far the most underrated, overlooked, and underplayed.

I agree with your first sentence. The rest is just opinion.

While I do think the game deserves better, there are plenty of valid reasons to get bored of Titanfall 2 quickly. For starters I think a lot of the smaller changes they made from 1 to 2, actually make the experience worse. And the maps all around aren't nearly as solid on their design as they were in the original.

Albeit sure, the game's business practices are less shitty than the other big triple A fps games of the last few years.
