photorealistic commonwealth 0.6 is the best version

the newer versions are just not as good as the old ones.I have 0.6 tweaked for my personal tastes alongside with NAC.The game looks unreal at times.

Well, you can always install mods that improve upon these things. And if you are having performance issues I guess your pc is either outdated or requires maintenance.

If I can play Witcher 3 on medium high with 55-60 fps, and this game cant run well, it's on them. It looks like crap, and runs like crap. And no, mods cannot solve most of the problems I listed. I installed around 200 mods into the game, and I still cant finish it.

@mr_huggles_dog: yup, I played the game for 3 hours and put it down in boredom. Nothing innovative nothing fun to it for me. Base building and power armor were not what the game needed whatsoever. The game should have been immersive survivalism with branching storylines... like in New Vegas.

I personally would recommend sticking to the fallout 4 nexus, I honestly never use mods from bethesda.net. So if you are sticking with nexus I might suggest downloading the nexus mod manager and loot. Both are great tools make modding easier, especially the nexus mod manager cause you can use it to automatically install and remove mods without any issues and loot takes care of your loadorder. After that you can begin with the most popular mods. I changed my loadorder quite a bit since I last took the screenshot. So if you want to get the same look as shown in the screenshot, I suggest installing Commonwealth Conifers Redux, grassland (the experimatel version), and grimwolf enb. Don't use nac.esp (Photorealistic Commonwealth) if you want to achieve a similar look as seen in my screenshot.

Also ignore those perv mods in my loadorder, they are not necessary incase you don't want pretty females, same with lookmenu since it requires scriptextender, if you don't want to install that either.

My loadorder

Well, you can always install mods that improve upon these things. And if you are having performance issues I guess your pc is either outdated or requires maintenance.

But that right there is the biggest problem with Bethesda and there "RPG's". You look at stuff like Dishonored and Doom, and you can see the quality they can offer when they make a linear, story focused game. However, with big open worlds like TES and FO, they do only what is absolutely required and then say "It'll do, the community can fix it themselves later", which is a terrible mindset, especially when they also sell these games on consoles, where modding, while available, is far more limited.

Mods are great, and I'd love it if more devs started allowing us to expand our favorite games in this way, but the community should not be required to develop mods to fix all the bugs and make it playable, when we're expected to pay $40-$60 for games.

Exactly. That is kind of the way I feel about Ubisoft too, minus the mod issue. All of their open world games are essentially the same, poorly optimized, and buggy on release. However, I have loved their non open world games, like R6 Siege, Splinter Cell Blacklist, etc.

I was playing it on a system I built for my cousin, which is more powerful than mine is. It had 16gb ddr4 ram, and intel 6500k, and a gtx 980. Well over the recommended, and it still ran like crap, despite looking like a game made in 2011. I dont get why people apologize for devs not even putting in the minimal amount of work needed to optimize their games. It's always "Well, your hardware probably sucks." I dont know, if CD Projekt Red can make a game that looks like the Witcher 3, optimize it greatly over an 18 month period, with a team that is the fraction of the size of Bethesda's dev team, the fault is most likely not on the hardware specs of the thousands of people who were getting 28 fps in the corvega plant in F04.

Many of the better looking games are neither open world games nor as moddable as bethesda games. Sure the witcher 3 looks thousand times better than fallout 4, but unlike fallout 4 its runs on a different engine and the mod support is quite meager for the witcher 3.

And as I said before if someone cant meet the recommended requirements, then they should not complain about performance issues.
