Well, this is gonna be amusing. Of all the games out there, it just had to be a Wii U game as well.

I have a feeling the next AAAA will be Star Citizen.

It has been more than four years since GameSpot gave a game a 10 score with Super Mario Galaxy 2 being the last game. It also suprises me that a Wii U game received this score before the Xbox One and PS4.

Nice I knew my Wii U would be useful at some point. Then again I dont care for review scores, but I was always buying the game regardless.

Wii U is destroying PS4 and XB1 in exclusives. Only console not disappointing right now...who would of thought? Too bad Wii U has no third party or it would be the best console overall by a mile.

@ActicEdge: wow it now gives me a reason to go out and pick up a wii u just for this game. Ive always been a big fan of the bayo franchises and many of platinum games.

Polygon gave it a 7.5, lol. That's not unsurprising, coming from them, and considering this game. Here's their genius conclusion:

When Platinum Games is on, it's really, really on, and Bayonetta 2 is in almost any respect that counts a better game than the first, whose mechanics were already exemplary. But every time I'd feel on a roll, enjoying my time with Bayonetta 2 immensely, I'd be broken out of it by another cheap shot of T&A. I would be wrecking a flock of angelic or demonic enemies, sliding in and out of witch time almost at will, and then the special weapon I had picked up became a literal stripper pole for Bayonetta to dance on, because ... well, because, I guess.

I won't guess why the blatant over-sexualization is still there, often more intensely than before. But it causes an otherwise great game to require a much bigger mental compromise to enjoy.

This shit gives me cancer.

Not surprising that Mark Walton would give a Wii U exclusive a perfect score, he's the biggest Nintendo fanboy on Gamespot staff by far. I'd wait for more reviews before rushing out and buying a console over this score.

Bayonetta 2 is this gen's MGS4, except good. Can't wait to pick it up.

I've never played Bayonetta before, but this is actually impressive for the Wii U's scarce 3rd party library.

Now, if only sheep start buying this, maybe 3rd party developers may actually follow suit.

At the time of posting this, it has a metascore of 91. With only 2 out of 10 reviews being below 9 and 4 out of 10 being a perfect 10/10.

Frankly when Galaxy 2 got a 10 my prayers were finally answered. A AAAAE that didn't bore me to tears :P

Man. MGS4 was an awful period of SW.

Bow down to the Queen system wars, as Platinum game promptly puts it on the scrub status video games made by the likes of Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony. Bunch of posers to the throne.

Games scoring AAAAE are always amusing, seeing cows fawn over such an awful game though was hilarious, but got tiring after a while. MGS4 was easily the weakest entry in the series.

Damage control? More like being realistic. I hope the game does well because the first Bayonetta was incredible, but one dude's opinion means relatively little in the big scheme of things.

Even the worst games get perfect scores from some reviewers.

I kinda felt the same when the Mario galaxy two score hit. not saying its awful just wasint that fun to me.

This game actually looks like it deserves the score, at least from the videos I've seen, unlike some of the other 10s that were given out previously. Too bad I can't afford to buy a system just for one game. (consoles are rather expensive where I come from, given no official channels of distribution and other reasons)
