The Wii U is even less interesting than before

Ok. MS had Nintendo jumping for joy with their anti consumer policies, but now that those policies are gone, the wii u, once again has almost nothing going for it but a couple mario games, a remake and a few more games noone cares about. It is only $50 cheaper than the PS4 and is only as powerful as the PS3 and nintendo has no plans for a price drop any time soon. According to nintendo, the wii u is priced competively. Wow. Once again, the Wii U is looking to be the less attractive "next gen" console. What is your stance on the wii u compared to the xdone and PS4?

Nothing has changed from the n64 as far as what a Nintendo console has going for it.  People will buy it and that's that.

Getting a Wii U. Not getting an Xbox One or PS4. There's my stance.

WiiU is last gen, compare it to what's available now and decide if its worth buying over ps3/360. Because buying a wiiu over ps4 and even xbone is pretty :lol:silversix_

I just don't understand what the point of the Wii U is. The WIi at least had a marketable gimmick.... the Wii U is just pointless. It's not even the GameCube, because at least the GC had some real support.

Well, it is. The hardware inside the Wii U is better than both the Xbox 360 and the PS3.

But staying on topic, I think the console is great. I'm enjoying it, I like the hardware, I'm really liking the Gamepad controller and the line up of up-coming games is very good! Although you may not be into "Mario" games (which is fine, btw), there's still a lot of gamers out there who are. I personally don't really care for Super Mario World 3D, but Mario Kart 8 looks friggin' AMAZING. Smash Bros also looks incredible. And then of course there's "X" which has had my interest for a very long time now. Bayonetta 2, the Deus Ex remake and The Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker HD are all games that I'm looking forward to.

I also like that you can transfer all of your original Wii content over to the Wii U. It's like literally having two consoles in one which is a much bigger level of backwards compatability when compared to either the PS4 or the Xbox One. Call me crazy, but I see great value in that.

If you want to know how I think the Wii U will fare against the PS4 and Xbox One when they launch, well it depends. I think the titles they announced so far will suffice but I strongly feel that the Wii U needs to be no higher than $299. I think this is very critical. If Nintendo can drop the price of the console by about $50, I think the Wii U will start to finally make it's way out of the woods.

On a side note, I just paid for a PS4 this past weekend. So yeah, I'm going to have one of those right along side my Wii U. I think between the two consoles, my gaming needs will be pretty satisfied.

I want a Wii U for certain things but I am in no hurry to play them. I can wait til the price drops to $200. The games I want I have played thousands of times already. Mario Kart. Metroid. DKC. Yes they are new titles but it is not like it is gonna be drastically different than the ones before.

already own a Wii U and i will not get a PS4 until they redesign it, and fix all of the problems it's going to have. my guess is it's going to have an overheating problem

I like when people say the wii-u is only good as a secondary console, I wish i had the 350 "which is alot of money to me" to just drop on one and use it only sometimes when nintendo makes a game which in last gen was once very full moon. I'm just going to get a ps4 and know I'm going to get good games frequently hell the ps3 is in its final months and it still is kicking out AAA titles like the Last of Us.

I'm really interested in the PS4, but only because I know in the long run it will be awesome... and I need a nice new console for MGS5 if it doesn't come to PC.

But in terms of upcoming exclusives we know about now?  WiiU easily.

The basic SKU is $100 cheaper than the PS4 and $200 cheaper than the Xbox one and the deluxe SKU is $50 dollars cheaper than the PS4 and $150 dollars cheaper than the xbox one

It will have Nintendo games. What exclusives will the Xbone have? None probably because most of them will be on the PC too.

I plan on getting a wii u before either of the other consoles, I have a bunch of wii games I havent got around to yet, and its new content looks good enough for me to justify a purchase.
