Not true. I went from Nintendo to Sony, and now to Microsoft.
*SNES-PS1/PS2-Xbox and Xbox360*
I don't stay on one system if it sucks. So I am not really a fanboy, just a guy who doesn't give a crap about the company name.
It's not as bad as you might think:Good. You've taken the first step into a larger world. Now dump the Ps brand and take up your manhood with the 360.
Those of you who grew up playing video games probably know what system you played on as a child, cows, you probably spent your most meaningful and memorable times playing on playstation platforms.
Sheep, you probably spent your days as lambs playing Baa-aa-aario. J/K
You just want to relive your childhood days, and remember the good times you had as a kid when you played on your specific platforms is all.
There may be a few who have different reasons, but really the one I mentioned is the only really good one, you just don't want to lose any childhood memories, so you root for the console maker who gave you the memories. There's nothing wrong with that.
Be proud to be a fanboy, be proud.

I remember when the PSX was coming out, I was nay saying the machine with other gamers I knew. Said stupid crap like, "it won't compare to Sega and Nintendo".
Shortly there after FF64 was canned, and FFVII was announced. It was then that I stopped being a fanboy.

People are attached to what they recieve pleasure from. People will defend what they recieve pleasure from.pIck a side and stick to it.
I will bet you anything any "fanboy" will change sides or perspectives if they get any attachment from another system.
Personally, I do not own a Wii nor a PS3. I am more likely to defend my 360, but I have played the Wii, and enjoyed it, so I wont talk trash about it. The PS3, however, I've only experienced a very small amount of time with it -- so I may be likely to nod my head at a few Sony articles, but I don't like being one-sided and close-minded, so I'll defend it when necessary.
