PlayStation 5 tops hardware sales in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Australasia (EMEAA).

Well, that was fast. I thought its gonna be a repeat of when Switch released, PS4 still tops the sales charts for 2 whole years in hardware and software before Switch finally take over but seems like the PS5 is selling really well in these market.

.....PS5 was the top selling console of the month across tracked markets (France, Benelux, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Nordics, UK, Australia and New Zealand), ahead of Nintendo Switch by 12%. Overall, console unit sales are up 84% in February compared with the same period the year before with almost half a million machines sold. Nintendo Switch sales are up 32% compared with February 2020.

The accessories market (including toys-to-life) was up 12% over the same period last year in Euro spending, with 1.35 million accessories sold. Sony's PS5 DualSense controller was the most popular device, ahead of the DualShock 4 for PS4 in second place......

It's not overly surprising. The PS4 set the world on fire, and now the PS5 is doing the same. Anyone that thought the Xbox Series X/S would be a threat to the PS5 has clearly not been paying attention to market trends.

kinda shows eu is by far Sony's strongest market if its outselling Switch by units too, in NA switch is almost 2:1 ps5 currently

Difference is, Microsoft doesn't release sales numbers other that Game Pass monthly users now. Xbox is a service. These are the only numbers that count. Game Pass is on many different pieces of hardware other then an actual Xbox console. So you're full of sh*t as usual.

Xbox sure doesnt release numbers but, there are organizations that track sales and xbox does provide sales data to them.

Except I pay for PS Plus as part of my online membership. I'm not paying to rent games I already own. 😉
