The Playstation has cometh to Steam(GoW on Steam)

They can just port that PS4 version. I don't see a problem.

I think they'll test the waters with TLOU1 first. Lower risk, especially considering the sequel's somewhat controversial reception.

I'm having a bit of a rethink here anyway. It'll be interesting to see what they do with PS5 games. Will they port them (more than likely yes)? how long will it be PS5 exclusive before they bring it to the PC?

i mean they bought Nixxes there with the intention of getting more of their games onto PC. they hardly did it just to port older PS4 titles.

if its a year or even 2 after the PS5 release...fine. i can wait. its not like the PC is short of games to play in the meantime.

anywho January is now packed. MH Rise and now this. Sorted. i mean it was packed with Rise alone but this just properly stuffs it :P.

Also sony....steam deck. Linux/proton support. God of war on the go...just sayin.

Had a GoW themed PS4Pro in a cart, but decided that it was not worth the agony of 30fps. Nice to know that I'll be able to enjoy the game on PC. Would be great to see the original games on Steam as well.

I'll be passing on this naturally. I tried a God of War game last year and I have to say I've rarely been so bored of a video game in my life. It was basically holding forward on the left stick while mashing square until the next cutscene plays. I beat even David Gaffe could beat it.

The Valkyrie battles later in the game are actually some of the most challenging bosses I've played in a video game in some time.

Only the last Valk was really of any difficulty.

At this point i'm starting to think that Sony is just trolling those who want Bloodborne on PC.

Another thing is, God of War 4 will be great on the Steam Deck. It'll be like playing God of War PSP games and now you can play the latest version on Steam Deck is a nice bonus.

At this point, it makes no sense not to port it on PC or remastering it for PS5. Bloodborne can't be that hard to port.

How many Sony games sell close to twenty million copies worldwide? The games I know that sell at least that many copies are Nintendo games (Mario Kart, Super Mario, and now Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing) and some multi-platform games like Minecraft and Grand Theft Auto V.

It's been widely established that GEoW is Gears of war on System Wars.

@madrocketeer: I know and I feel the same thing, Spider-Man on PC does feel like a bit of stretch but then again we used to think that Sony would never release their main games on PC so who knows?

And Singrun is arguably THE hardest boss of any AAA titles. I literally spent 6-7 hours straight on Give Me God Of War on her. Never spent anywhere near this amount of time on any other bosses in a game.

Horizon is close but not their yet afaik. Ghost of Tsushima will probably get close to it in a year or two as well.

This game was very overated.. did not like it as much as 1-3. I'd recommend waiting for it to drop to $20 on PC. $50 for it is too much. I won't be double dipping on this one

Sony is making it easier to not buy their console which means I can buy more of their games on pc. Considering games are where they make their money, I think this is a good thing for them and gaming in general.

Plus, I can't wait to read the meltdowns on twitter and reddit later today.

I dont think they are working on one. Apparently Sony is doing very well signing their movie and TV properties to streaming providers and making money that way, instead of building and maintaining their own. They kinda tried with PSTV and it didn't work out.

They will probably do the same with games on PC.

This further supports my view that this could be the last generation of Sony and Xbox consoles. Selling hardware is too much hassle and not as profitable as selling software.

Both of them want out of the console business and just want to move to selling software/packages.

What is also on the way is the end of physical releases.

The PC gamers will get a good game though and that is good. Exclusives are for people who make sexual advances towards office furniture.

That's cool. Hopefully Bloodborne comes to PC one day. Still my favorite PS4 games to this day so it would be nice for PC gamers to try it out as well.

I don’t see how, seeing as the ps is still isn’t in the same boat as the Xbox due to the ps5 still have ”recent exclusives”. Exclusives and MS no longer have any reason being in the same sentence.

tell that to all the PlayStation fanboys still holding out hope that games like Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 are coming to PS5.. 🤷‍♂️

Interesting events, and good news for PC gamers that do not have a PS4 but wanted to play this. I tried to get into it, but the pace was awful. Their approach to cinematic hand-holding was nauseating. Maybe try to finish it one of these days.

The intrusive non-interactive parts can be trying on the patience.
