They didn't specifically say God of War, they just said more Sony games.

Yes! I already own it but This is a great sign that Sony will release most 1st party titles on PC if they bring their biggest flagship title over. Steam already has built-in native support for the DualSense so it's looking like PC gamers won't have to spend extra money on a console this gen. Win/Win for everybody.

I'm not. It's very difficult to develop and maintain a software/service like that. 30% is prob worth it instead of starting from scratch.

That said, the best time to start would have been 10 years ago - second best time to start is right now. Eventually Sony will wish they had put in the resource investment to create their own PC platform.

Who knows... maybe they are working on it.

I rather see more independent online PC stores other than Steam existing than buying games from stores own by Sony or Microsoft.

GoW looked absolutely amazing on the base PS4, can't imagine what someone with a beast of a PC will get to see.

Overall Odds (God of War): 50% before confirmation - Cory Barlog openly stated he wants to do it, but the decision is above his pay grade. After HZD and subsequent statement, I'd say they're more open-minded now.

Wildly wrong yet again, but at least I got the overall prospect sorta correctly high. Ah well, it's always been for the fun of guessing for me, not about being right.

I'm similarly 50-50 about whether to buy this.

guessing they are doing this to increase interest in the series, and try and sell more consoles ahead of Ragnorak (which will probably come to PC a year or two later as well).

Nah. According to some industry people I've heard from, it's much more basic than that: Sony sees this as easy money. Simple as that.

In which case, Bloodborne PC is an inevitability. That game is a money printing license which Sony are just sitting on. It's why I've consistently rated Bloodborne so high on my odds board, both round by round (40-45%) and overall odds (75%).

TLOU and Ghost is likely based on leak rumor

That's not totally accurate. Consoles and PC are two completely different markets now. Hardware prices are ridiculous and few PC gamers aren't gonna go buy current-gen consoles, so developers are just hurting their own sales by not releasing games on PC. Console exclusives are fine, but PC version should always be included. Plus, not everyone likes to game on PC, so both consoles/PC have their place.

Ghost of Tsushima, definitely eventually. My overall odds for that is 50%; I just thought there is definitely an audience for that sort of game on PC, and therefore it makes sense. However, the recent Director's Cut update hints to me that Sony aren't quite done with it on the PS just yet, and therefore it's some way off. I could be wrong, which would be fun, but it feels that way to me.

TLOU1... ...I put that at 30%, because I'm not sure Sony thinks there's an audience for the game. That said, I'm strongly considering reviewing my pick after God of War and Uncharted, which are broadly similar games. If they do well, I'll definitely up the odds.

Leaks and rumours fly around all the time. I rarely listen to them, since most of them tend to be unverified.

Update: God of War just shot to #1 on Steam bestsellers. Still early days, but it's looking good for TLOU1.

Thread needs to be locked, GoW means Gears of War more to me than God of War. I don't game on PC so I would have no way of knowing whether or not Gears was already on Steam

I would love to see this just to see what it would look like with proper ray tracing

Because it takes significant resources and time to do it which clearly Sony doesn't have at the moment. Look at EGS 3 years later, still a bare bones PoS money sink. Pretty sure they are working on their own store but right now they have neither the content nor features in place to do that. Not just that outright having their own store won't give them access to the same potential audience.

GoW sold 19m and Sony are just tapping into another market now.

Truth is, no matter how well the games sell, Sony want that PC pie. They don't care about their fanboys feelings.

Now the cows are reduced to celebrating timed exclusives.

Eh... ...I might end up catastrophically wrong in saying this, but this is the one game I don't see happening - ever. Historically, Sony have always acted weird around the Spider-Man IP - like, clingy jealous boyfriend scared of getting cheated on weird. It's currently <1% on my odds board.

Maybe their minds have opened up recently, I dunno, I'm just going by history. You can quote me and rub it in my face if and when I'm proven wrong; I'll gladly take the egg on the chin.

@madrocketeer: TLOU1 was release back in 2013 on PS3 when it was almost the closing time on the 7th gen. There's a reason why Sony isn't releasing Uncharted 1,2,3 on PC due to those games were build on PS3 during the Cell issues, same with TLOU1 despite both games found their way to PS4 as just a simple ports. Games like Uncharted 4 & TLOU2 can be ported to PC easily since they were both build around PS4, its easier to put those on PC. I expect TLOU2 on PC the most.
