I knew this would happen lol. Ryse would be hyped by the hermits. 4/10 is a 4/10. The Order looks more interesting. And the graphics are at least as good.

Sadly this is what excited the modern console gamers. Barely interactive movie games and visuals that allows the peoples to make pretend as if they are part of the master race.
Being a hardcore gamer I appreciate gameplay and regularly played 14 year old titles like AVP 2000.
This is a the nature of proper pc gamers, substance.
1:10 was shocking IMO. The moment the game presented a more open ended looking area in the presence of sunlight, it almost looks downgraded.
Something about the "filmic look" is lost. It looks average during that scene. The washed out style it's using becomes more noticeable in the present of more intense lighting.
So, the game doesn't even look that impressive to me from a graphical point. However, and fortunatly, from a gameplay perpective, it looks definitely more interesting now.
Besides, UT4 looks better if you want to play it that way.
PC fanboys will bash the games visuals, or look for ways to do so. While I've been vocal about how the current sony/ms industry is rather nasty; pc fanboys, THIS is where a games budget really factors in. You simply don't see stuff like this on pc at the moment(though I think this may change).

The only games that are barely interactive movie games are Quantic Dream games. "Press a button for the next sequence".
I disagree my friend. Even watching the Battlefield: Hardline footage, which is supposedly more open. Almost all of the footage shown was taken up by "watch this, we want to be a movie".
Same goes for PC gamers saying Ryse will be better or play better on PC....all of a sudden it's not a crap game anymore.
On a side not...Quantum Break and this both look like generic 3rd person shooters. I think they are just tech demos for the systems. That said...the difference is one has a draw that is gameplay wise that has been done in Max Payne....the other's draw is a story which we haven't heard before.

It looks great, there's no denying that, especially the charters and the animations which are the better than in any game that's out now. But it's not surprising since it's a linear game with small scale and confined environments so is should look really good.

Well in some ways this "next" gen hasn't been too exciting because the games simply haven't been that big of a visual leap. The Order is the first game to really get a lot of "wows". This mentality has been going on since consoles started. There's nothing wrong with it, either. It would be nice if gameplay evolved too.....or if there was more actual gameplay like nintendo games.

I own a PS4, Xbone and a pc which is not the most powerful just a puny gtx 760 rig that runs 99.9% of all my PC games @ 1080p max settings. But hey The Order, even Infamous and Killzone SF look better than all my Metro and Crysis games, so yeah do any of you lems or hermits own all those?
Dude, ever occurred to you that as time goes by we see new titles pop up thus replacing the previous crown holder? but really Quantum Break gameplay moved me more than The boring but stunning looking Order... Same thing that happened to Infamous repeating with The order? too much fancy graphics very uninspired gameplay.
Oh please the only thing great about the gameplay is the niche time stopping crap,and that actually will get old fast like Ryse,the AI is really dumb,and all you have to do is freeze time shoot bullets,freeze time shoot bullets to kill some one,my god lemming fall for every crappy thing show to them,stoping down things was the next step with a developers that use to slow things now in the first place..
It gets old pretty fast and the AI was just plain stupid and powerless.

Wel duh. Creating higher detailed characters and models is far easier when the area in question is more closed off.
IMO, Unity looks far more impressive considering the quality of assets on building and characters, while rendering a huge Paris map filled with npcs to populated it's streets, and allowing you to enter 1/4 of it's buildings.
I don't know how big TW3's map is exactly, so i'm not going to be a full point of that. Besides, Unreal Tournament 4 looks better if you want to use inclosed locations.

Times Manipulation is not a bad gimmick to have for an entire game but in Quantum Break its way too much of an Exploit to be challenging, the AI is totally defensless against it so even if they were clever enough theres just nothing they can do to stop you.....
But in the Demo they obviously tweaked it so that That Feature would deliver the maximum amount of Awesomness ! But fiddling with those numbers is not going to help, they need to rethink and redesign it.

If you're talking about resolution and framerate, of course. You're 100% correct. But in terms of game art content, The Order takes it.

Still 800p, because they couldn't push 1080p, they already had to use much more fog to make the PS4 capable of running it

Is not about been bad or not is about making the AI powerless if one thing i didn't like Crysis 2 for just wait a few seconds and there you go invisible,you can abuse it to hell and beyond,i didn't see anything impressive in that gameplay other than the effects,freeze time and shoot a barrage of bullets,even at the enemies which would also do like him and attack out of the time frame.
Only time will tell if the demo was dumbed down AI wise or not for demo purppose.

this is my concern with the game + remedy games tend to be very repetitive and after a few hours im just wanting to cross the finish line. everything just seems super easy and overpowered right now but hopefully they can fix this by release
