The Order dominates everyone in graphics at Gamescom 2014

This year's Gamescom sure delivered a slew of stunning looking games from all platforms be it AAA or indie, or AAA indie! Many games have made my jaws drop and drooled like a fool. Games like the new Silent Hill, The Witcher 3, ACU, BloodBourne, HellBlade, Until Dawn, Quantum Break and Drive Club are really showing what second year nextgen titles are capable of. But none has quite reached the level of graphical prowess from The Order 1886. This game is simply on another level, whether due to its technical marvel or the art direction, the on screen realtime rendering can almost literally be taken as CGI quality. If there's a graphics king at Gamescom 2014, it would be hands down The Order.

the graphics are unreal in that game...it pretty much CGI to me ...i think only ND or Sony santa monica main team wiill be able to top those graphics

and the latest gameplay trailer was Fucking awesome too

But Crysis 3 looks better.

Does look good, not going to deny that. But my god that is the most generic looking gameplay I've ever seen.

The game looks amazing graphically, the gameplay however left me disappointed.

It's not that bad this time. He mentions it being graphics king in Gamescom. So, technically it isn't wrong. Though he tends to label a lot of games as "graphics king" so, his credibility isn't that great...

Dude, ever occurred to you that as time goes by we see new titles pop up thus replacing the previous crown holder? In fact I've always been very specific about it, I always add "released thus far" or "launch titles" or "in year xxxx" etc. I don't just change opinion like a mom. Please do take note ye?

I agree. It looked like a high budget CG movie when I watched the trailer.

When I seen QB I was impressed by it's graphics, but I was more impressed by The Order.

The Order is really insane graphically speaking...

but really Quantum Break gameplay moved me more than The boring but stunning looking Order... Same thing that happened to Infamous repeating with The order? too much fancy graphics very uninspired gameplay.

Frankly Witcher 3 looks better. All Order has going for it are animations, everything else is just cheap tricks it's hiding behind, be it the bloom or the glare or the grain. The only part of the trailer I found impressive was the texture work in the chapel area.

Not to mention it just looks boring. I'm still banking on this being the Lair of this generation.

It does look pretty amazing.

Quantum Break will be better 'game' though . A lot better . Graphics wise , I think Witcher 3 , Ryse PC and Unreal Tournament will be new graphics kings and two of these (TW3 and UT) will also be good games and not just tech demos like Ryse and Order .

It LOOKS awesome, but like people are saying, we've played this game dozens of times last gen. A current gen coat of paint can't disguise that.

You have to wonder what this generation's 'Gears Of War' will be.

Whats wrong with film grain?

Everyone screamed about how the first Mass Efffect had film grain and it added all that indy sci fi crap feelings to it and when they took it out of the others everyone supposedly says "Oh man....it doesn't have that obscure movie feeling to it".

Now it's bad?

thats the wonderful thing about videos.... you can see the gameplay and judge based on what you like.....

It certainly is an impressive looking game. Only time will tell if the actual game play is good.

i don't agree with this ...i would never judge a whole game by only 5-7 minutes video that doesn't even show all gameplay styles for both

that's why i won't judge any of them untill they are out but even if i did ...they have very similer great Gameplay but with The Order Having Graphics i have never seen before

You know that Ryse is 900p, yet The Other has higher res at 800p. The image you get is 1080p, just with black bars lol.

It's 1920 x 800p with 4xmsaa which totally surpasses a typical 1080p buffer with post aa. It's no contest, The Order has everyone beat in the iq department.
