Gearbox Software may be silently working on the next Brothers in Arms game. This title appeared on the list of games affected by the strike of American screen actors.

While Gearbox Software’s last big project Battleborn is slowly dying (there are currently about a hundred people playing on Steam with the 24-hour peak at a little below three hundred – see Steam Charts), the developers seem to have switched their efforts to something new. The next game they’re working on is reportedly a new Brothers in Arms. Although there aren’t any official announcements on that matter, this title appears on the list of video game projects affected by the strike of Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television.

Gearbox first informed about the next Brother in Arms game being made in early 2013, and have been silent ever since. That was soon after the cancellation of Brothers in Arms: Furious 4, which met with much disapproval of fans, who didn’t like its non-serious approach inspired by Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards. The last big installment in this popular series of World War II tactical shooters was 2008’s Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway, which was warmly welcomed by fans.

Still waits impatiently for the final chapter of the Baker Saga as shitty Gameloft freemium games tarnish the series's reputation.

Never seen the apeal of franchise. original BIA games was very scripted and has very dull gameplay and terrible shooting. tactics and strategy donot make game any better when core gameplay suck

Hells highway was gears of war/Rainbow six vegas in WW2. you take cover, your health regenerate, shoot.

I wish someone would make a true tactical ww2 or 1 game with a great campaign, but I don't see that happening with the landscape of the industry these days.

Oh well, back to Hidden & Dangerous 2 for me, I guess.

The whole 'suppress and flank' gameplay of the BIA series felt incredibly contrived.

Furious 4 looked fun. People got all salty for no reason.

Good. Hope it is good and Gearbox won't ruin it.
