@blackhairedhero: As a straight white guy... I wholeheartedly celebrate more people finding a gaming protagonist that speaks to them. This is the best road forward if gamers want to be seen as anything more than a basement dwelling boys club! I'm 38 and have been gaming since there were arcades at the local pizza joint. I, frankly, love that my hobby of choice is becoming inclusive and resonating with all kinds of people =)

To be honest, I feel sorry for luddites. There are decades of gaming history that cater to you, but you don't respect what you have. Your politics blind you to the fact that gaming is democratizing and that means more people bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to the table and making gaming even better. You think you want things to stay the same, but you honestly don't. You have inherited a welcoming gaming world that has exploded in growth because the industry has thrown the kitchen sink at growing beyond the kind of stank I had to endure as a gamer teen.

It would be great to see Gears of War 5 release around the same time as The Last of Us 2. I don't know if the Lemmings can take anymore defeats. It's one loss after another.

Also, they call TLOU and Uncharted "movie games", but then they play Gears of War 4 with lots of cutscenes and walking forward slowly and talking.

Hopefully, it's not as boring as the first one.

Big expectations for the sequel. The first one was and is easily the best PS3/PS4 game. So glad ND went with a new IP and is investing heavily into it; Uncharted was very underwhelming.

They are still hiring people for the game so I can't see how it will be out this year. The MP will be crap if it is.

Yeah... I'm currently playing Uncharted 4, and am honestly really bored. Not sure I'll even finish it.

They'd want to step it up for LOU2.

@Shewgenja: Yea I'm 36, I tend to celebrate things that actually matter. In regards to games it would be great gameplay and stories that are actually appealing. As far as being seen as a basement dwelling boys club thats Irrelevant to me. I have very few friends that are into gaming because I find the vast majority of hardcore gamers are socially inept basement dwellers... yes even the females. This was something I realized by high school. Gaming is a hobby I have and will always love but it's still a hobby. It doesn't define who I am. So you can celebrate the Anita Sarkisian's getting into your favorite hobby and act is if it's this great step forward for gaming. All I see is another group of socially inept basement dwellers that often seem a bit bitter.

The reality is mass popularity has brought more bad things to gaming then good. Free to play, subscription services, incomplete betas released as full games. I find the rare gems of this generation use new technology but stick to the old school principles of gaming. And I find it disappointing when talking about female characters you get these white knights that instantly call you a woman hater. When in fact I'm just wondering why female heroes were written better 20 years ago.

I'm still in the camp that I did not want a sequel to TLoU. Having said that, I'm really excited for TLoU 2. TLoU was my favorite game from the PS3 era.

I'm neutral on whatever developers try to push because if I get upset over the politics then why wouldn't I get upset over the violence that the majority of games have in them? Do I support violence if a video game has it? Only thing I care about is if the game is well made and entertaining.

Day freaking 1 for me! I can't wait!

Hopefully this one doesn't flop
