@Jag85: Steam family sharing allows you to share an entire account, in my case 1000+ games at a click. If its within the same house-hold you can directly stream to other computer or other devices with no install, as well as use remote play for to make local MP games work online.
Trading games was never really a PC thing as typically games ran from the hard-drive then from the CD/DVD. In many cases, even if a CD-key was bypassed the online portion would still be blocked off.
As to the argument of "not owning games", speaking from a personal perspective most of my old games physically owned are long, long gone. In a trashcan or god knows where. If anything Digital Gaming has helped bring these older titles back to a more mainstream audience and keep them relevant on a store-front than the obscurity they had once been relegated to, those games I bought on Steam 15 years ago and still quite happily there, physical ones, nope? Not a clue where they all fucked off too.
