Also, since this is now coming to the PS4, PS4 automatically becomes the best console of next gen, its entire existence validated by this one game. Xbox One and Wii U might as well just pack their bags and go home, because maybe their entire libraries put together might come close to the glory that will be Persona 5.

Something here to be said about opinions and assholes...

I was prepared to come in here going "that's not Persona 5"... but it was Persona 5. But, can't say anything about that intrigued me, other than knowing they're going to put it on the PS4 as well. I was kind of put off by the anime style of the trailer, I was hoping they go with something like the Catherine engine. Of course, the last couple Persona games, as well as Catherine still used animated cutscenes, and I guess the actual engine could be something more like Catherine in design (I'd hope so). I'd prefer a uniform visual nature of just using the game engine for cutscenes as the transition between the two seems weird to me in past games. Anyhow, a 2015 release date, I hope the release date outside Japan isn't far behind.

yes so persona 5 is finally a real thing but i think it will be mulitplat outside of japan. thats not really a bad thing only time will tell. all we need now is release dates outside japan

atlus only talked about it last November. to my knowledge they didnt show a thing until this trailer poped up. when i ment by mulitplat i didnt mean ps3, ps4. also it seems like this is really just a ps3 game being ported to the ps4. besides the animated parts of the game, its gonna look the same on either console. i hope that it not the case but going by the release date of persona 4 it seems likely

Oh, it's coming to PS4 as well? I was going to hold onto my PS3 just for this, but I was going to get a PS4 for Bloodborne anyway. As a PC gamer, I'm accustomed to only play the best versions, so I guess it's time to get a PS4!
