I still have the original and the strategy guide. The guide is pretty cool, also includes story boards that didn't make it in the game, songs and other insights. Best Monkey Island game imo. I used to have the 4th Monkey Island game, it wasn't very popular and introduced their first attempt at 3D. It wasn't as funny as Curse and pretty sure it flopped. No one even remembers that one anymore..hell I barely remember it.

I never played the newer ones made my Tell Tale though but looks kind of funky with the 3d models. I think Curse nailed it, the art style, execution, comedy...it's a must have.

Beyond happy that someone came to their senses and helped to salvage this game. It's been unavailable for years. I've always kept the disc but its good we can now buy it digitally. Old games like this need to be preserved.

Meh. My original still works okay with ScummVM. I haven't seen the digital versions. But, the original CD version came with SOMI1 and SOMI2.

Is this a remake of sorts? Either way I’m stoked.

The original Monkey 3 is still masterpiece. I play thru it every year. It has not aged a bit.

In many ways its lot better than Monkey 1&2. There are no boring islands or locations in Monkey 3 for starters.

Imo only guybrush and elaine looked ugly. environments and other characters look great.

I have played Tales and I can say that only gubrush looked a little better. The art style wasn't as good as the first 3 ones.(The final episode was also disappointing for me due to how short it was)

It was the one with Monkey Kombat.(Which I just wrote all of them on a paper)

@PAL360: If you loved those two you have to play the third one. It's masterful.

It was my favourite point & click adventure back in the '90s. Good times.
